West Linn OR Siding Contractor
James Hardie siding replacement, professional waterproofing, and exterior remodeling for homeowners throughout West Linn, Oregon.
Elite Home Exteriors NW is a professional West Linn siding contractor specializing in complete siding replacement, James Hardie® fiber cement siding, moisture protection, and rot repair associated with larger siding replacement projects.
Homes in West Linn face years of Pacific Northwest rain and moisture exposure. When siding, flashing, or the weather-resistant barrier behind the siding begins to fail, water can reach the wall assembly and cause damage that isn’t always visible from the exterior.
Our approach goes beyond simply installing new siding. We focus on the entire exterior wall system—including siding removal, wall inspection, rot repair when necessary, drainable weather barriers, window and door flashing, metal flashing, trim details, and professional James Hardie installation.
If your West Linn home has aging, damaged, rotting, or outdated siding, our team can help you determine whether it’s time for a complete siding replacement.
Protect your home from the outside in with a siding system built for the Pacific Northwest.

Replacing siding is about much more than improving curb appeal.
Your siding is part of a larger exterior system designed to help protect the framing and interior of your home from rain, wind, and moisture. Problems can develop when aging siding, failed caulking, improper flashing, deteriorated trim, or installation defects allow water behind the exterior cladding.
Elite Home Exteriors NW specializes in complete siding replacement in West Linn rather than small cosmetic siding repairs.
During a siding replacement project, we can remove the existing siding, inspect the underlying wall assembly, identify concealed damage, complete necessary rot repairs, install a modern weather-resistant barrier and flashing system, and finish the exterior with professionally installed siding and trim.
Our goal is not simply to make your home look new.
Our goal is to build an exterior designed to manage water correctly and provide long-term protection.
West Linn’s wet Pacific Northwest environment can expose weaknesses in an exterior wall system over time.
Some problems are obvious. Others remain hidden behind the siding until the exterior is removed.
Common warning signs include:
These conditions don’t automatically mean your entire home has significant water damage. However, they are good reasons to have the exterior evaluated before deterioration becomes more extensive.
Elite Home Exteriors NW specializes in James Hardie® fiber cement siding installation for homeowners looking for a durable, attractive alternative to aging wood, engineered wood, vinyl, or other exterior cladding.
James Hardie siding is particularly well suited for homeowners who want the appearance of traditional siding without many of the maintenance concerns associated with natural wood.
Available options include:
Different siding profiles can also be combined to create architectural accents.
For example, lap siding can be used across the main elevations while board and batten, shake, or panel siding creates additional detail around gables and architectural features.

One of the most important parts of a siding replacement project is something you won’t see when the project is complete:
what’s behind the siding.
New siding alone cannot correct every moisture-management problem.
That’s why Elite Home Exteriors NW places significant emphasis on the weather-resistant barrier, flashing, penetrations, windows, doors, and other details that help direct water away from the wall assembly.
Depending on the requirements of the project, our siding systems may incorporate:
These details aren’t as exciting as choosing a siding color or texture, but they’re some of the most important components of a successful siding replacement.
Beautiful siding should have a properly detailed wall system behind it.
We start by evaluating the existing siding and visible exterior conditions.
We’ll discuss the problems you’re experiencing, the siding material currently installed, the look you want to achieve, and appropriate replacement options.
For a complete replacement, the existing siding is removed so we can access the underlying exterior wall assembly.
This is an important step because moisture damage can sometimes remain concealed behind siding.
Once the existing siding is removed, we inspect accessible sheathing and framing for deterioration.
If concealed rot is discovered, we can address necessary repairs as part of the larger siding replacement project.
A properly installed weather-resistant barrier helps manage incidental water that gets behind the siding.
We pay close attention to laps, transitions, openings, penetrations, and other areas where water management matters.
Windows, doors, decks, roof intersections, vents, hose bibs, electrical penetrations, and other openings require careful detailing.
Flashing components are integrated with the weather-resistant barrier to help direct water toward the exterior.
Your new siding and trim are installed according to the requirements of the selected manufacturer and our professional installation standards.
For primed siding systems, the exterior is professionally prepared and painted using premium exterior coatings such as Sherwin-Williams® products.
The result is a complete exterior transformation designed for both curb appeal and long-term performance.
One of the biggest concerns homeowners have when replacing siding is:
“What happens if you find rot underneath?”
Unfortunately, concealed water damage isn’t unusual during siding replacement projects in the Pacific Northwest.
Water can enter around improperly flashed windows, roof intersections, decks, penetrations, failed siding joints, or other vulnerable exterior details.
When we remove your existing siding, we’re able to see conditions that may have been hidden for years.
If deterioration is discovered, Elite Home Exteriors NW can complete appropriate rot repair as part of your larger siding replacement project before covering the wall with a new exterior system.
This is important because installing beautiful new siding over deteriorated sheathing or framing doesn’t solve the underlying problem.
We want the structure underneath your new siding to be properly prepared before the exterior is closed back up.
Not every siding problem requires immediate replacement, but certain conditions can indicate that the exterior is reaching the end of its useful life.
Consider having your siding evaluated if you notice:
For homeowners experiencing widespread failure, a complete siding replacement can provide an opportunity to address both the visible exterior and the moisture-management system underneath it.
West Linn has homes from many different periods of construction, which means we encounter a variety of existing siding materials.
We can replace:
Older engineered wood siding can experience swelling, edge deterioration, delamination, and rot when moisture reaches vulnerable areas.
Wood siding can look beautiful but requires ongoing maintenance. Years of moisture exposure, failed coatings, and improper flashing can eventually lead to deterioration.
Older vinyl siding may become faded, brittle, cracked, loose, or warped. Replacing it also gives us the opportunity to inspect the wall assembly underneath.
Fiber cement is an excellent siding material when installed correctly. However, we’ve encountered existing fiber cement installations with improper clearances, flashing deficiencies, incorrect fastening, and other installation problems.
Improperly detailed exterior systems can sometimes conceal substantial moisture damage. Removing the existing cladding allows the underlying wall assembly to be evaluated before a new siding system is installed.
Choosing the siding itself is only half the decision.
Choosing the company that installs it is just as important.
James Hardie siding isn’t simply another product on a long list of unrelated remodeling services for us. Fiber cement siding and complete exterior replacement are core parts of what we do.
We understand that siding, weather barriers, flashing, windows, doors, penetrations, trim, roofing intersections, and sealants need to work together.
We’ve opened exterior walls and discovered everything from minor sheathing deterioration to substantial concealed structural rot.
That experience influences how we approach every siding replacement.
Elite Home Exteriors NW provides a more direct experience without the high-pressure sales approach common with large remodeling companies.
We stand behind our siding installation workmanship with our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty for as long as the original homeowner owns the home, subject to the terms of the warranty.
Elite Home Exteriors NW is licensed, bonded, and insured for professional exterior remodeling work in Oregon.
