Siding Contractor in Milwaukie, OR

If your siding is rotting, cracking, swelling, warping, or allowing moisture into your home, replacing the siding is about much more than improving curb appeal. Your siding system is one of your home’s primary defenses against the wet Pacific Northwest climate.
Elite Home Exteriors NW is a Milwaukie OR siding contractor specializing in complete siding replacement, James Hardie fiber cement siding, hidden dry rot repair, weather-resistant barriers, window and door flashing, and exterior painting.
We don’t believe in simply covering up existing siding problems. When replacing siding, our goal is to build a complete exterior system designed to manage water properly and provide long-term protection for your home.
As a James Hardie Elite Preferred Alliance Contractor, we specialize in installing James Hardie siding according to manufacturer installation requirements and proven Pacific Northwest waterproofing practices.
Ready to replace failing siding on your Milwaukie home?

Milwaukie’s rainy climate can be hard on exterior building materials, especially siding systems that are aging, improperly installed, or missing critical flashing and waterproofing components.
Over time, moisture can find its way behind siding through failed caulking, improperly flashed windows, siding-to-roof transitions, penetrations, damaged siding, and other vulnerable areas.
Unfortunately, the damage behind the siding is not always visible from the outside.
Elite Home Exteriors NW specializes in complete siding replacement in Milwaukie, allowing us to remove the existing exterior, inspect the structure underneath, repair damaged areas, and install a new siding and waterproofing system correctly.
Whether your home currently has engineered wood siding, cedar, vinyl, older fiber cement, or another failing exterior product, we can evaluate the condition of the siding and help determine the best replacement option.

Pacific Northwest homes face years of rain, wind-driven moisture, damp winters, temperature changes, and organic growth.
Some siding problems are obvious. Others can remain hidden until the existing siding is removed.
Common warning signs include:
If you’re seeing several of these problems, repeatedly repairing isolated sections may not address what is happening behind the exterior.
A complete siding replacement gives us an opportunity to inspect the building envelope and correct problems before installing the new siding.

James Hardie fiber cement siding is our preferred siding system for many homes throughout Milwaukie and the Portland metro area.
Fiber cement provides the appearance homeowners want without many of the problems associated with aging wood and engineered wood siding.
Benefits of James Hardie siding include:
James Hardie also offers siding profiles that work with everything from traditional Milwaukie homes to modern exterior designs.

One of the most important parts of a siding replacement happens after the old siding comes off and before the new siding goes on.
That’s when hidden problems can finally become visible.
We’ve removed siding from Pacific Northwest homes and discovered deteriorated sheathing, damaged framing, failed weather barriers, improper flashing, and extensive dry rot that wasn’t obvious before demolition.
Water intrusion commonly develops around:
Elite Home Exteriors NW has extensive experience identifying and repairing dry rot and water damage discovered during siding replacement.
Our goal isn’t simply to make your home look new.
Our goal is to correct the problems behind the siding so your new exterior has a solid foundation.

Beautiful James Hardie siding is only the exterior layer of the system.
What goes behind it matters.
That’s why Elite Home Exteriors NW puts significant attention into the building envelope, drainage plane, flashing, and weather-resistant barrier before installing your new siding.
Depending on the project requirements, our siding systems may include:
We commonly use premium drainable WRB systems such as Benjamin Obdyke HydroGap® to help create a drainage plane behind the siding.
A drainable WRB provides another layer of protection between the siding and structural sheathing while helping incidental moisture drain away.
Windows and doors are some of the most vulnerable areas of any exterior wall.
We use compatible flashing membranes such as HydroFlash® and carefully integrate flashing components with the WRB system to help direct water toward the exterior.
Proper metal flashing is critical above windows, doors, horizontal trim, and other siding transitions.
Z-metal helps redirect water away from vulnerable horizontal surfaces rather than allowing moisture to collect behind the siding.
Where required by the siding system, properly installed joint flashing helps protect siding butt joints and the wall assembly behind them.
We use professional exterior sealants such as OSI QUAD MAX® at appropriate siding and trim locations.

HardiePlank lap siding is one of the most popular options we install.
Homeowners can choose between different textures and exposures, including Cedarmill® and Smooth finishes.
Cedarmill provides the appearance of traditional wood-grain lap siding while Smooth creates a cleaner, more contemporary exterior.
Board and batten has become an increasingly popular choice for homeowners looking for more architectural character.
It can be installed across an entire exterior or used strategically on gables and accent walls alongside HardiePlank lap siding.
James Hardie shake siding provides the character of traditional cedar shake without relying on natural wood as the primary siding material.
Straight Edge and Staggered Edge designs can create attractive accents on gables, entryways, and other architectural areas.
For homeowners looking for a more contemporary exterior, James Hardie’s Architectural Collection provides additional textures and design options beyond traditional lap siding.
These products can create distinctive modern exteriors while maintaining the advantages of fiber cement.

Older engineered wood siding is common throughout the Portland metropolitan area.
When moisture reaches vulnerable edges, penetrations, improperly flashed openings, or damaged coatings, some older engineered wood products can swell and deteriorate.
Signs can include:
When replacing failing engineered wood siding, we remove the existing material so the wall underneath can be inspected before installing the new siding system.
For many homeowners, this is an ideal opportunity to upgrade to James Hardie fiber cement siding.
Cedar can provide a beautiful natural appearance, but maintaining wood siding in western Oregon requires ongoing attention.
Over time, cedar may experience peeling coatings, splitting, deterioration, moisture absorption, or rot—particularly in areas with limited sun exposure or poor drainage.
Rather than continuing to repair and repaint deteriorating cedar, some Milwaukie homeowners choose James Hardie siding for a similar traditional appearance with less dependence on natural wood.
HardiePlank Cedarmill and HardieShingle products can provide the architectural character homeowners like while offering the durability of fiber cement.
A high-quality siding project requires much more than installing new boards.
We evaluate your existing siding and discuss the problems you’re experiencing, your goals, material options, design preferences, and project expectations.
You’ll receive a detailed proposal explaining the planned siding system and scope of work.
Our estimates are owner-led. No high-pressure commissioned salesperson and no sales gimmicks.
The existing siding is removed so we’re able to evaluate the condition of the wall assembly underneath.
We inspect exposed areas for damaged sheathing, framing deterioration, dry rot, previous installation problems, and other conditions that need attention.
When damaged materials are discovered, affected areas are repaired before the new exterior system is installed.
A quality WRB is installed to create a properly integrated drainage and weather-management layer behind the siding.
Flashing membranes and metal flashing are installed where appropriate and integrated with the WRB.
James Hardie siding and trim are installed according to applicable manufacturer installation requirements.
Required siding and trim areas are professionally sealed using premium exterior sealants.
When using primed James Hardie siding, the exterior can be professionally finished with premium Sherwin-Williams exterior paint.
We review the completed siding installation and exterior details before completing the project.

Choosing a siding contractor isn’t just about finding someone who can nail siding onto a wall.
The details behind the siding determine how well the exterior performs over time.
Our James Hardie contractor credentials demonstrate our commitment to proper installation, training, quality workmanship, and manufacturer best practices.
Siding isn’t simply another service we offer.
Exterior siding replacement, waterproofing, rot repair, and James Hardie installation are core specialties of Elite Home Exteriors NW.
You’ll meet directly with the company owner to discuss your siding replacement project.
There are no commissioned salespeople and no high-pressure sales process.
We understand that the performance of your siding depends heavily on what happens behind it.
WRB integration, flashing, drainage, penetrations, clearances, and water management receive the same attention as the visible siding.
Finding rot during demolition doesn’t mean your siding project has to stop.
We regularly address hidden water damage and deteriorated building materials discovered during siding replacement.
Elite Home Exteriors NW backs qualifying siding installations with our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty for as long as the original homeowner owns the home, subject to the terms of our warranty.
Elite Home Exteriors NW is properly licensed, bonded, and insured for the work we perform in Oregon.
Our siding systems are designed around the conditions homes actually face in the Portland metropolitan area—not a generic installation approach developed for a completely different climate.

We’ve completed siding projects throughout the Portland metropolitan area involving failed vinyl, engineered wood, cedar, fiber cement, and other exterior systems.
These projects frequently involve much more than removing old siding and installing new material.
Once demolition begins, we may discover water intrusion, deteriorated sheathing, rot around windows, missing flashing, improperly installed WRBs, or other construction defects.
Our project portfolio shows the complete process—from demolition and hidden damage to waterproofing, James Hardie installation, trim, painting, and the finished exterior.

Elite Home Exteriors NW provides siding replacement throughout Milwaukie and surrounding communities.
We work on homes throughout areas including Historic Milwaukie, Ardenwald-Johnson Creek, Hector Campbell, Island Station, Lake Road, Lewelling, Linwood, and nearby neighborhoods.
Whether you’re replacing aging siding on an older Milwaukie home or upgrading the exterior of a newer property, we can help design a siding system that complements the home while providing long-term protection against Pacific Northwest weather.
We also provide siding replacement in nearby communities including Clackamas, Happy Valley, Gladstone, Oregon City, Lake Oswego, and Southeast Portland.

We recommend James Hardie fiber cement siding for many Milwaukie homes because of its durability, resistance to rot and insects, architectural options, and suitability for Pacific Northwest exterior applications when properly installed.
For our full siding replacement projects, we generally prefer removing the existing siding. Removing the old exterior gives us an opportunity to inspect the wall underneath for rot, damaged sheathing, flashing problems, or other hidden conditions before installing the new siding system.
Yes. Dry rot and hidden water damage are common issues we encounter during siding replacement. When damaged materials are uncovered, we can evaluate and repair affected areas before proceeding with the new siding installation.
Possible warning signs include swollen siding, peeling paint, soft areas, staining, mold, deteriorated trim, failed caulking, or visible rot. However, some water damage remains completely hidden until the existing siding is removed.
Yes. A properly integrated weather-resistant barrier and flashing system is an important part of our siding replacement process. The exact products and assembly depend on the requirements of the home and project.
Elite Home Exteriors NW primarily specializes in larger siding replacement and exterior renovation projects rather than small handyman-style siding repairs. Our focus is identifying and correcting broader siding, waterproofing, and building-envelope problems.
Yes. When installing primed James Hardie siding, we can finish the exterior using premium Sherwin-Williams exterior coatings. This also gives homeowners a wide range of color options.
Project duration depends on the size and complexity of the home, weather, siding design, accessibility, and how much hidden damage is discovered after demolition. We discuss anticipated project scheduling and scope during the estimating process.
James Hardie offers manufacturer warranty coverage on qualifying siding products. Elite Home Exteriors NW also provides a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty on qualifying installations for as long as the original homeowner owns the home, subject to warranty terms.
Siding replacement costs vary based on the home’s size, number of stories, existing siding, demolition requirements, architectural complexity, trim details, siding product, painting requirements, access, and the amount of rot or structural damage discovered.
The best way to establish an accurate price is to schedule an on-site siding replacement estimate.
If your siding is deteriorating, repeatedly needing repairs, or showing signs of moisture problems, don’t wait until minor water intrusion becomes major structural damage.
Elite Home Exteriors NW specializes in complete siding replacement, James Hardie siding, waterproofing, flashing, hidden rot repair, and exterior painting throughout Milwaukie, Oregon.

Working with Ian and his team was a wonderful experience. We met with a handful of companies before picking a contractor. Most spent hours mansplaining how siding works through formal presentations with imagery of worst case scenarios and reasons for why you should only work with their team. Ian listened to us, respected our time, and was very easy to work with. His team did incredible work with the siding and roofing on our house, and they went above and beyond to help us add a new covered entrance to our home. Our house feels brand new and we couldn’t be happier with it or our experience throughout this process.+1
Elite Home Exteriors NW is the BEST choice for siding replacement. They go beyond just installing, but provide information about Hardie product, the care of siding after the install and pro & con of choices we made. They never force options but provide expert information by which we were able to make the right choices. They have expert, skilled installers & painters who worked with us to insure a near perfect installation. I have worked with contractors for over 50 years and Elite is the most trustworthy company I have ever had business with.+1
Really wish we were able to give 6 stars here... Bottom Line: Elite Home Exteriors NW (Ian & the whole team) made one of the largest projects we've tackled absolutely seamless with spectacular results. We are soooo happy with how everything turned out! Our home was built around 1920, covered in very old cedar shakes and was probably one of the more... interesting and "unique" houses this team had to work with. Nothing is square/level, exterior electrical conduit/plumbing stack everywhere, we found dry rot and missing sheathing - you know, all the fun problems. Ian convinced us (and later proved to us) that his team could handle it. Some of the highlights of Elite's work: - From the first meeting with Ian and getting a proposal, we knew we were getting an honest and genuine quote. He made us feel so comfortable with the project and helped us see the end result - The quote came in and hit our budget goal, right from the get go - The crew that came to demo and remove all the old siding were great to work with. They identified problems, notified us promptly and came up with some great solutions to resolve (dry rot, missing studs, missing sheathing) - The same crew cleaned up every night before they left and were always ready to go first thing in the morning - New house wrap (great house wrap by the way) and siding went up over the course of a week. We were super impressed with some of the specialized cuts they had to make! - Later, they pressure washed the ENTIRE house (including the deck) and started caulking. The caulking in and of itself looked fantastic - A separate painting crew came through and finished up the project ahead of schedule. The overall masking and attention to detail getting all the eaves, beams, gutters, downspouts painted went flawlessly (props to Sherwin Williams paint BTW) Overall, what we thought was going to be a long, drawn-out and stressful project only turned out to be the exact opposite. Ian's crew(s) took just over a month to finish this two story house with detached garage. We still walk around the house every night and admire the quality of the work and reflect on just how happy we are with the whole situation. It honestly feels like a brand new house... We would HAPPILY recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone looking to tackle siding replacement and painting for their homes!+6
Easy to talk too and schedule. Also very flexible when it came to the project itself.+2
The South wall of the house had rot and cut siding from a previous connected wood deck. Ian was a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional from start to finish. He answered detailed questions, gave me several options to fit within my budget. Ian communicated with me throughout the process, and was accommodating when I requested more detail, or a change during planning phase. His crew shows up on schedule, were friendly and courteous of my property, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The job was completed quickly and within budget. The new siding and paint is an asset to this house and exceeds my expectations. I enjoyed working with Ian, and would recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone considering a siding update for their home.+1
Nice job by Nick and his team. I'm a realtor and needed to have a vinyl repair job done for my client. The vinyl siding was melted by long term use of a BBQ grill. Nick & crew matched the style and color perfectly. The job was done quickly, on time, and the invoice matched the quote. If you need the job done, and done correctly, call Elite Home Exteriors, they'll take care of you. Look no further! Dennis Hildebrand+5
Ian was awesome to work with! Friendly, on time, and great communication!Verified
We hired Elite Home Exteriors to remove vinyl siding and replace it with Hardie lap siding. We were concerned that water may have leaked behind the vinyl siding and caused unseen damage. We got several bids and Ian's bid was not the lowest, but it was the most detailed in terms on scope of work and he offered a much better warranty than the other companies. Ian patiently answered all of my questions either verbally or by email and made me feel comfortable with his competence to do a great job for us. And he did! His crew was well-trained and paid attention to detail. The work was done well and completed in a timely manner. The workers cleaned up after they finished and did not leave any loose ends. I highly recommend Elite Home Exteriors for any siding project you may be considering.
Ian and his crew did an outstanding job replacing and painting the siding on the south side of our home. Communication was great, the job site was thoroughly cleaned, workers were efficient and courteous, and the price was toward the lower end of the six bids we obtained. Thank you, EHENW!
Ian is incredibly kind, professional, and quick to respond to any questions. We had siding and gutters replaced, and had our house painted. All of the work done is excellent, and finished very quickly. Cannot recommend enough.
We had a great experience re-siding and painting our house with Elite Home Exteriors. Ian was responsive and accommodating to our needs, and we're really happy with how much better our house looks over the old vinyl siding. Would definitely do business with again.
Ian and his team were fantastic! Great communication and explanation of the process and scope of work. All of our questions were answered and he made sure we were kept informed of any updates and changes along the way. The crew was professional, prompt and thorough, and the finished product looks great!
Needed some siding and soffit work on a 1922 aluminum siding dormer. Ian came out, looked at the project, and started the very next week. All of his workers were top notch and friendly. They even relocated a squirrel family living in our eaves. This job was done quickly and efficiently and the communication was excellent. Ian came out several times to check on the work and answer any questions we had. Their cleanup was great- just a few stray nails and debris, but that’s to be expected. He actually fixed a couple of areas that weren’t in the scope of the project for no extra charge. The painters he subcontracted with were also wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend Ian and his team for any of your siding needs.Couldn’t have gone smoother and I know that’s not always the case.
Ian was very responsive, had great communication and was very helpful. The workers were friendly, prompt, and worked hard. My house looks great!
Ian and his crew installed new siding and painted my home and we could not be more pleased with the results! Ian was very patient about explaining the process and everybody on his crew was equally patient and courteous. 10/10, would recommend!
We invited Ian to provide an assessment and bid on some decaying wood decorative shingles on our home. From the minute he pulled up and walked around, this felt like someone I could trust. There was one area of concern that may have some rot into the house. When his team got to that section they were unsure what they would find. And to my pleasant surprise and appreciation, they found nothing. A small section that he fixed for free, not more in the bid. His team was prompt, friendly, and did an exceptional job. From preparation to final clean up, this is the type of vendor you want to have everyone emulate his professionalism, honesty, and commitment to follow up and making things right. He has earned our business for life and would recommend him to any friends, family, or neighbors.
Ian and his team were wonderful to work with. The house turned out great and we’ve gotten so many compliments. The team were timely and finished earlier than expected! We did a full siding replacement and paint job and both teams he used were fantastic.
I called Ian regarding an issue with my siding (installed by a different company). Ian was very helpful getting me information needed to file a warranty claim. Even though I didn't use Elite Home Exteriors NW (yet), I appreciate the help and quick response.
Choose this company for you siding, you won't be sorry! The owner Ian, is far and above best contractor I have ever worked with. Excels at communication, follow up and explains everything in a friendly non-pressure way. I interviewed three other contractors, before settling on Elite. I knew I would be in good hands for this huge investment with Ian as he was genuine and sincere about providing the best result. Both the siding and the paint crew are top notch professionals, with a great work ethic and attention to detail, they are Hardie trained so you can be sure the installation was done to the highest standard and it shows! We went from ugly worn out 20 year vinyl to James Hardie siding, and the difference astounding, very very happy with what feels like a new house now.
Wish I could give it 10 stars!. Having worked in the construction business for years I was so impressed with Ian from our first meeting. He stayed in contact with me throughout the process. His team were amazing, timely, clean, and the final product looks just amazing. Highly recommend.
Ian Vidovic is the owner/manager of Elite Home Exteriors, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have accepted his bid for replacing the hardi-plank siding on an exterior wall of our house in Camas, Washington. Our house is on Prune Hill, and the eastern wall faces the onslaught of the Gorge winds and its rain, snow, and ice storms. Long-term damage in our 22-year old house included dry rot all the way to the studs. Ian's bid was not only reasonable, but his word was bond. His crews came on time, as promised. The demolition was completed in one day. The replacement siding in another day. The wall was pressure-washed and painted by a professional crew. Ian was honest, communicative, and very personable. He is the BEST contractor we have ever employed, and we highly recommend him and his company. Stephen Chipps & Laura Sherrill
Ian did incredible work for my clients and I!! I am a real estate broker and it's so difficult to find a siding company that can work within the timing constraints of a real estate transaction. Ian did! In the inspection period, it was discovered that my client's soon-to-be-home had siding that was completely failing. Ian went out same day to take a look and provided a quick and accurate quote a few hours later. Not only was his pricing reasonable, but he was able to get the siding job completed before the close of the transaction. My clients have moved into their freshly sided home and are eager for Spring so they can work with Ian to paint it!! He was so communicative and friendly throughout the process. I will be calling him for my own home and recommending him to clients as well! 10/10!
I would definitely recommend calling Ian at Elite Home Exteriors NW. He is a certified Hardi Plank installer. We unfortunately hired another company to save a couple thousand dollars. (Small HOA, I was out numbered) I really wanted to hire him for several reasons. They are Elite Preferred Installers and definitely deserve and have earned the title. Ian was so helpful and knowledgeable when we were getting estimates for the job. Even though we used a different siding company, he was kind enough to come and inspect the job after installation and before painting!. So thankful he did this for us! He found a piece of Z metal flashing was completely missing on top of a trim board. These details are so important! And something a layman like us, are just not going to notice. He also pointed out how thin the caulking line is. I noticed it was not a nice pretty, straight, clean line. Definitely makes sense that it should be thicker. He also would have replaced the old plastic vents with a newer type that birds can't get into and build their own little homes. Which makes perfect sense! When your replacing 26 year old siding you should upgrade vents also. I really can't express how much I appreciate all of Ian's help. I would highly recommend hiring him for your Hardie Plank installation. He knows the product and installation process very well and has a sharp eye for details. Which is really what you want and need when spending thousands on siding. Thank you Ian! Thank you so much for all of your help.
Ian the owner was very knowledgeable and was willing to be extremely flexible in bidding my project. One of the best companies I had out to look at my siding project. They use quality materials and have a pride in excellence that is refreshing to see in the industry. I would refer him to my best friend.
I had the pleasure of working with Ian Vidovic to discuss our home siding project, and I couldn't be more impressed! Ian's expertise is truly unmatched. He took the time to explain various cost-saving options, ensuring that we didn’t feel pressured into making any long-term decisions before we were ready. His honesty, kindness, and deep knowledge of his craft gave us complete confidence in our choices. It's rare to find someone in this industry who genuinely cares about the client's needs above all else. If you're looking for a siding expert who is both skilled and trustworthy, I highly recommend Ian. Thank you, Ian, for your exceptional service!
Ian is extremely knowledgeable at his craft. He was so patient with all of our questions and concerns. We felt so comfortable from the moment we met him. We met with a few other companies to do our due diligence but Ian was the clear choice.
I received multiple estimates on my siding job and the only company that followed through with a thoughtful plan and a reasonable price was Elite. Ian provided excellent customer service, quality work and 100% reliability. I highly recommend Elite!
My home has a fairly complex exterior, and we were looking to re-side the home as we were dealing with constant issues of water intrusion. I was searching the greater Portland/Vancouver area for Siding Contractors for Hardie Siding, as we really just wanted something that would hold up against the elements and protect us in the case of any nearby fires (we’re close to some woods). After meeting Ian from Elite Home Exteriors, we decided to go with him and we couldn’t have been happier that we decided to go with him as out Siding Contractor. We had additional problems from the water damage too, and the folks he recommended were also top notch. Ian and team are a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means basically that he’s passed the highest certification for installing James Hardie siding products. I would work with him again, but based on his fit and finish, I probably won’t need to! Thanks Ian!
I have to say, Ian has been a joy to work with. He is professional, thoroughly helpful, knowledgeable, and detail focused. His standards for fit and finish meant that the job is done right the first time… which is not something I can say for every siding contractor I’ve ever worked with. For what it’s worth, Ian is a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means he has passed the highest standards of how to properly and beautifully install James Hardie siding products. Hardie siding is a pretty great fit for the northwest, as it resists both water AND fire… I am frankly relieved by no longer having to worry about water intrusion after the great job that Ian and Elite Home Exteriors did on our home. I would absolutely work with them again.
Working with Ian and his company was an absolute pleasure. I currently own 2 homes and have had 3 previous houses, so I’ve had experience with many contractors over the last 20 years and most are not good. My husband and I had a water intrusion issue (undisclosed to us during a house purchase) that we subsequently discovered for ourselves 6 months later in the rainy season. After meeting with many contactors to figure out how to execute the repair, we decided that their prices were outrageous even for just a patch job and we decided to do the right thing and replace all the wood siding with Hardie plank. My husband found Ian online, and we met with him. He is excellent at communication, through emails/text and/or phone calls. He was always pleasant to meet with and didn’t talk to me as if I was a dumb homeowner, which happens quite a bit in this industry. He was happy to answer all my questions and work with us on a documented design for adding architectural details so there was no questions on how the job would look. He and his crew were always punctual and professional. They finished the job ahead of schedule and did everything promised. Honestly, the water intrusion situation was very stressful, but Ian made it a pleasure to get resolved. I am so happy that we went with him and have had excellent results. My high-strung HOA was even happy about his work and gave us a compliment. I wholeheartedly recommend him, and I would be happy to talk to anyone wanting a reference about our pleasant experience. It isn’t every day that such a huge job is completed with such ease and professionalism. I 100% recommend working with Ian and Elite Home Exteriors NW – you won’t be disappointed!

Glad I hired Ian and his team to replace siding on the south-facing side of my house. Communication with Ian throughout project was as good as any contractor I've worked with. The work was done well, went smoothly, just what you want. Also glad to see them not show up in expensive vehicle wrapped graphics, etc that the customer pays for. I'll have more siding to do on my house and will hire them again.
Great communication by the company. The workers are skilled, arrived on time, and they are very friendly. We love the work they did on our house. The new siding makes our older home look like a new house!
Work performed - Independent Siding Consultation and Detailed Work Estimate We contacted Ian V. at Elite Home Exteriors NW after searching online for a specialist siding contractor and then speaking to his father in WA while Ian was on a family vacation… he came to quote promptly upon his return, for a very large exterior home renovation project. The bid came from Ian quickly, following a thorough walk-through inspection and in great detail, and was several thousand dollars less than 2 other bids we’d received for exactly the same scope of work. Although we chose to use another company to work with, Ian remained gracious, asked some great questions to remain involved with our decisions, and even came and visited the work site to consult after siding work had started (and framing/shiplap was exposed to assess damage and advise). He wanted to ensure that although we weren’t employing his company, that his competitor wasn’t missing anything that would jeopardize the success of the overall project and that we could feel confident in our discussions with them when the time came to discuss details of the repair process. When asked about compensation for this service, he graciously declined, gave us his ideas and thoughts so we could remain entirely informed, and confident of the work being performed. He remained available as an independent resource. We know there are a lot of choices to make when renovating a home, and although we didn’t use Elite in this occasion, we feel extremely lucky to have met Ian and look forward to working with them in some capacity in the future. Incidentally, he connected us to his roofing colleagues who replaced our roof and our experience with them was second to none… the pair are a real class act. Wholeheartedly recommend contacting them, allowing them to bid on work and discussion expectations, as they are very experienced in quite unorthodox situations relating to siding repair, replacement and dry rot arising from compromised stucco and EFIS. We honestly can’t thank Ian & his team enough for caring (unequivocally) for us from the outset.
Excellent, attentive service, Ian answered all my questions whenever I asked them. We had our house looking new with better siding and a new paint job within a month. Zero complaints at all, really happy with the results. Absolutely recommended.
We used Ian to repair the dry rot on our current home. He was extremely responsive and his team did a high quality job. We then asked him to look at the siding on our new home and he came the following day! Wouldn't trust our siding work to anyone else.
I chose to contract the team at Elite Home Exteriors NW to replace my siding as they had a fair price and provided a detail guide of materials, process and standards. They exceeded my expectations by finishing work early, were quick to communicate, did a fantastic job of replacing the siding and the team that did the install were friendly and helpful. I would solidly recommend Elite Home Exteriors!
Elite Home Exteriors NW did an outstanding job on re-siding our home. From the initial survey and quote, to scheduling and completing the work, they were extremely transparent, communicative and professional! Very happy with our new siding and paint for our home!
Ian and his team done a fantastic job. We resided our home with new siding and exterior paint. We are very happy of the outcome of their work. They did a great job!
We hired Elite to replace our 90 year old cedar shingle with Hardie siding (10 inch reveal + board/batten). They also replaced our gutters and painted the house. From start to finish, Ian and Nick were a pleasure to deal with. We closely compared their bid to another contractor and decided to go with them even though they were marginally more expensive as they added more value during the sales process to our decision making and it felt like their bid was "more inclusive". The work itself was done to a very high quality and any issues were resolved quickly and fairly. As part of the siding work, we found some significant dry rot in our sill plate and rim joist on one corner. Elite took this repair work on for a very reasonable cost and ensured it didn't impact the overall schedule. Elite were also very flexible when our requirements changed for certain sections during the process and when there was a cost differential it was always very reasonable. I would strongly recommend Elite to anyone, we are delighted with the finished product and have had many positive comments from neighbours and passers-by.
Update: The team went above and beyond. I had additional projects I needed help with on the exterior of my home and the team was right there quickly and throughly helped me accomplish them. Superior service. - Elite Home Exteriors was amazing. Definitely the largest renovation I’ve ever done my to my house and the team took care of me the entire way. They were always responsive and always took the time to answer all my questions. They even completed the project ahead of schedule! All I had to do was sit back and wait. Would defiantly recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW. They went above and beyond!
We hired Elite Home Exteriors to replace the siding on the back of our house with James Hardie Sierra 8" fiber cement as the old T1-11 siding was showing its age. The rest of the T1-11 siding on the house looked good so we opted to leave it in place except for one section where a previous owner had cut through the siding to install a dog door. We had this additional section replaced with matching T1-11 siding. After the siding was installed/replaced we had Elite Home Exteriors paint the house as well. I felt like we were in good hands throughout the entire process. Ian was very helpful guiding us through the process from start to finish and very quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. The crews that worked on the house were great and answered even more questions I had the days the work was being done. The siding looks great. The paint job looks great. These guys know what they are doing.
Ian and Nick did a great job on our bungalow downtown. It was a full siding replacement, roof, and paint job. It was a big job. We got six quotes because we were interested in repairing the original siding under the outer layers. We eventually realized this wasn't feasible because there wasn't any barrier under the original siding - not even paper which does exist on some early 1900s houses. Ian was great at listening to our requirements and just as good at getting his team to implement them. We are very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend them. Simply put, after getting all the quotes it was clear Ian understood what we wanted when he put it in writing. More importantly it was all delivered at the cost that was in the quote. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone.
We worked with Elite Home Exteriors NW for both replacing our roof and refreshing our exterior paint. Ian and all of his crew were incredibly great to work with, staying communicative along the whole process from start to finish and being flexible with their schedules! Additionally, they took extra measures to ensure the outcome of those projects (i.e. pressuring washing the entire house, cleaning up gutters, and fixing/replacing broken siding). Both projects went along without a hitch and our home looks brand new (and AMAZING). Quality products, quality service, but more importantly…quality people who take great pride in the services they provide. I highly recommend them to anyone needing to replace or upgrade their homes. It was a brilliant experience and couldn’t be more thankful for hiring them.
Ian did a great job of managing this project (adding Hardie Shake accents to the front of the house) and was knowledgeable and very responsive to all of my questions. The crew did an excellent job and completed the work on-time. The house looks great!

Elite Home Exteriors NW did a complete residing (Hardi) and painting of my 2-story house. All team members, (company rep, siding and paint) were professional, thorough, and detail oriented. The final result is superb. There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe the excellent job on all fronts these folks did. I would highly recommend this company!
This project was a complete Hardi residing of a two story house with complicated roof lines and many windows. The siding work was completed in November and final paint in March '21 (due to our typical Vancouver WA rainy weather moving in for the season!). The final result is excellent! Both teams, siding and paint, were meticulous and focused on the finer details. They were a pleasure to work with. From initial quotes through to regular updates during the project, communication was responsive and thorough. Ian, co-owner and customer facing rep, was a pleasure to work with and his customer focused attention was exceptional. I highly recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW.
