Expert Siding Replacement Services in Felida, WA by Trusted Contractors

In Felida, WA, like many other regions in the Pacific Northwest, homeowners may encounter various siding problems due to the climate and environmental conditions. Here are common issues and reasons why homeowners in Felida WA should consider replacing their siding with a local Contractor.

    Excessive Moisture:

As a local Siding Contractor in Felida WA, we know the Pacific Northwest is known for its frequent rain and high humidity. Siding exposed to constant moisture can lead to issues such as rot, mold growth, and water damage.

Wood siding is particularly susceptible to rot in damp conditions. Rot compromises the structural integrity of the siding and can spread to other areas of the home.

    Mold and Mildew:

Moisture-laden environments create an ideal habitat for mold and mildew. Not only do they compromise the siding’s appearance, but they can also pose health risks to residents.

    Decreased Energy Efficiency:

Old or damaged siding may provide poor insulation, leading to energy inefficiency. Upgrading to modern, energy-efficient materials can improve insulation and reduce energy bills.

    Pest Infestations:

Rotted wood is attractive to pests like termites and carpenter ants, which can cause further damage to the home’s structure.

    Decreased Curb Appeal:

Damaged or worn-out siding affects the overall aesthetics of the home. Replacing siding can enhance curb appeal, potentially increasing property value.

    Structural Damage:

If left unaddressed, siding problems can extend to the underlying structure of the home, leading to more extensive and costly repairs.

    Outdated Appearance:

Aging siding may not only suffer from functional issues but may also appear outdated. Updating siding materials and styles can give the home a fresh and modern look.

    Maintenance Challenges:

Old siding may require frequent maintenance, such as repainting or repairs. New siding materials often come with low maintenance requirements, providing a more convenient solution for homeowners.

In summary, replacing siding in Felida, WA, is crucial to address these common issues and ensure the long-term durability, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of the home. Regular inspections and proactive maintenance can help homeowners identify problems early and take timely action to protect their investment.

Choose this company for you siding, you won't be sorry! The owner Ian, is far and above best contractor I have ever worked with. Excels at communication, follow up and explains everything in a friendly non-pressure way. I interviewed three other contractors, before settling on Elite. I knew I would be in good hands for this huge investment with Ian as he was genuine and sincere about providing the best result. Both the siding and the paint crew are top notch professionals, with a great work ethic and attention to detail, they are Hardie trained so you can be sure the installation was done to the highest standard and it shows! We went from ugly worn out 20 year vinyl to James Hardie siding, and the difference astounding, very very happy with what feels like a new house now.

Ian is extremely knowledgeable at his craft. He was so patient with all of our questions and concerns. We felt so comfortable from the moment we met him. We met with a few other companies to do our due diligence but Ian was the clear choice.

My home has a fairly complex exterior, and we were looking to re-side the home as we were dealing with constant issues of water intrusion. I was searching the greater Portland/Vancouver area for Siding Contractors for Hardie Siding, as we really just wanted something that would hold up against the elements and protect us in the case of any nearby fires (we’re close to some woods). After meeting Ian from Elite Home Exteriors, we decided to go with him and we couldn’t have been happier that we decided to go with him as out Siding Contractor. We had additional problems from the water damage too, and the folks he recommended were also top notch. Ian and team are a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means basically that he’s passed the highest certification for installing James Hardie siding products. I would work with him again, but based on his fit and finish, I probably won’t need to! Thanks Ian!

Working with Ian and his company was an absolute pleasure. I currently own 2 homes and have had 3 previous houses, so I’ve had experience with many contractors over the last 20 years and most are not good. My husband and I had a water intrusion issue (undisclosed to us during a house purchase) that we subsequently discovered for ourselves 6 months later in the rainy season. After meeting with many contactors to figure out how to execute the repair, we decided that their prices were outrageous even for just a patch job and we decided to do the right thing and replace all the wood siding with Hardie plank. My husband found Ian online, and we met with him. He is excellent at communication, through emails/text and/or phone calls. He was always pleasant to meet with and didn’t talk to me as if I was a dumb homeowner, which happens quite a bit in this industry. He was happy to answer all my questions and work with us on a documented design for adding architectural details so there was no questions on how the job would look. He and his crew were always punctual and professional. They finished the job ahead of schedule and did everything promised. Honestly, the water intrusion situation was very stressful, but Ian made it a pleasure to get resolved. I am so happy that we went with him and have had excellent results. My high-strung HOA was even happy about his work and gave us a compliment. I wholeheartedly recommend him, and I would be happy to talk to anyone wanting a reference about our pleasant experience. It isn’t every day that such a huge job is completed with such ease and professionalism. I 100% recommend working with Ian and Elite Home Exteriors NW – you won’t be disappointed!

The South wall of the house had rot and cut siding from a previous connected wood deck. Ian was a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional from start to finish. He answered detailed questions, gave me several options to fit within my budget. Ian communicated with me throughout the process, and was accommodating when I requested more detail, or a change during planning phase. His crew shows up on schedule, were friendly and courteous of my property, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The job was completed quickly and within budget. The new siding and paint is an asset to this house and exceeds my expectations. I enjoyed working with Ian, and would recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone considering a siding update for their home.

Glad I hired Ian and his team to replace siding on the south-facing side of my house. Communication with Ian throughout project was as good as any contractor I've worked with. The work was done well, went smoothly, just what you want. Also glad to see them not show up in expensive vehicle wrapped graphics, etc that the customer pays for. I'll have more siding to do on my house and will hire them again.

Here are some intriguing things to know about Felida:

City Felida WashingtonCat Connection: The name “Felida” is derived from “Felidae,” the biological family classification for cats. This might be a playful nod to the area’s natural wildlife or perhaps a tribute to early residents who were cat lovers.

Lewis and Clark Expedition Ties: The Felida area lies close to the location of the historic Chinookan village Cathlapotle, which the Lewis and Clark Expedition encountered in 1804-1806. This village, with a population estimated at 700-800 people, was a significant center for the Chinookan people at the time. A replica of a Cathlapotle plank house was built at the nearby Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge to commemorate this connection.

From Rural to Suburban: Felida’s history reflects the broader development patterns of Clark County. Initially a rural area, Felida has seen significant growth in recent decades, transforming into a suburban community with established neighborhoods and modern amenities.

Salmon Creek Connection: The Salmon Creek flows through Felida, providing a natural waterway and a potential source for the area’s name (though not officially documented). The Salmon Creek Greenway Trail, a popular walking and biking path, runs alongside the creek, offering residents a way to connect with nature.

Felida, Washington, is a small unincorporated community located in Clark County, near Vancouver. Its history is deeply rooted in the pioneer days of the Pacific Northwest.

The name “Felida” is believed to have originated from a local ranch owned by Joel Palmer, a pioneer and prominent figure in the area during the mid-19th century. The ranch was known as “Laurel,” but due to a misinterpretation of the word “Félicité” (French for “happiness” or “joy”), it was mistakenly called “Felida.” The name stuck and became associated with the area.

In the late 1800s, Felida was primarily an agricultural community, with farms and orchards dotting the landscape. The fertile soil and favorable climate made it conducive to farming, and families settled in the area to cultivate crops and raise livestock.

Over time, Felida evolved from its rural roots into a suburban community as the nearby city of Vancouver grew and expanded. Residential developments began to spring up, attracting new residents seeking a quieter lifestyle while still being close to urban amenities.

Today, Felida maintains its small-town charm while also offering modern conveniences to its residents. It’s known for its family-friendly atmosphere, good schools, and access to outdoor recreation along the nearby Columbia River and Salmon Creek. Despite its proximity to urban areas, Felida retains a sense of community spirit and connection to its pioneer heritage.

While Felida itself might not have a plethora of unique historical landmarks, its story is intertwined with the development of Clark County and the rich history of the Pacific Northwest. Its location near the Lewis and Clark expedition route and its connection to the Chinookan people add a layer of historical significance. Furthermore, the cat-themed name and the presence of the Salmon Creek add a touch of whimsy and local flavor.
