This exterior siding remodel in Downtown Vancouver, Washington involved a complete tear-off of multiple outdated siding layers to properly modernize and protect the home. Elite Home Exteriors NW removed existing aluminum siding, foam backer board, and cedar shake siding, allowing for a full inspection and a clean foundation for the new exterior system.

Once prepped, the home was resided with James Hardie Cedarmill 7″ Lap Siding, delivering the look of natural wood with the strength and durability of fiber cement. New James Hardie window and door trim was installed to create sharp, consistent lines and a polished finish throughout the exterior.

For weather protection, we installed WeatherSmart® Drainable House Wrap to promote proper moisture management behind the siding, along with FortiFlash® membrane flashing at all critical window and door openings. This combination helps direct water away from the structure while enhancing long-term performance in the Pacific Northwest climate.
