Description
We began by removing the existing vinyl siding to properly inspect the exterior walls and prepare the home for new materials. The home was then resided using James Hardie Cedarmill 7″ Lap Siding, paired with James Hardie Board and Batten accents to add architectural contrast and depth. To complete the system, we installed James Hardie window, corner, and door trim, creating clean lines and a cohesive, finished look throughout the exterior.
The Cedarmill texture delivers the appearance of natural wood grain while offering superior resistance to moisture, pests, and Pacific Northwest weather conditions. This upgrade not only transformed the home’s appearance but also improved durability, performance, and long-term value.
Finish & Color Protection
To complete the exterior, the James Hardie siding and trim were finished using Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint, providing a durable, high-quality coating designed to perform in the Pacific Northwest climate. This premium paint offers excellent color retention, moisture resistance, and UV protection, helping the home maintain its fresh, finished look for years to come. The result is a smooth, consistent finish that enhances the Cedarmill texture while adding an extra layer of long-term protection.
The result is a modern, low-maintenance exterior built to last—perfectly suited for the Brush Prairie climate and the style of the Summer Hills community.
