A lasting ColorPlus® installation requires careful handling and planning because the finished surfaces arrive ready for the home. Our process protects the product while addressing the full wall assembly behind it.
We inspect the existing siding, discuss known moisture concerns and evaluate the home’s elevations, access, transitions and architectural details. We also review siding profiles, colors, trim options and accent locations.
Your proposal identifies the planned removal, siding system, weather barrier, flashing, trim, finishing details and anticipated repairs. Final profiles and colors are confirmed before materials are ordered.
We remove and dispose of the existing siding so the wall can be properly evaluated. Full removal allows us to identify concealed dry rot, damaged sheathing, missing flashing and other conditions that cannot be reliably assessed from the surface.
Damaged sheathing, framing or insulation is addressed before the new water-management system is installed. If additional work exceeds the repair allowance included in your agreement, we document the condition and obtain approval before proceeding.

We install the specified weather-resistant barrier and integrate compatible flashing membranes around windows, doors, penetrations and vulnerable transitions. Z-flashing, joint flashing and other metal details are installed where required by the wall design and manufacturer instructions.
ColorPlus® siding and trim are handled carefully to protect the factory finish. Boards are installed with the required clearances, fastening, joint treatment and alignment. Approved touch-up is used only where permitted and is not treated as a substitute for damaged-board replacement or broad field painting.
We inspect the completed siding, trim, flashing, caulking and touch-up details; remove project debris; and walk the exterior with you before completion.
