Understand the cost of complete siding replacement in Hillsboro, including tear-off, hidden rot repair, waterproofing, James Hardie siding, trim, and exterior painting.
If you are planning to replace the siding on your Hillsboro home, one of your first questions is probably: How much will the entire project cost?
For many Hillsboro homes, a professionally completed full siding replacement may fall within a broad planning range of approximately $20 to $34 per square foot of wall area installed. However, that is only a general starting point—not a quote. The final price depends on the size and design of the home, existing siding, demolition requirements, access, trim details, product selections, painting, and any concealed water or structural damage discovered after tear-off.
The lowest initial number is not always the lowest long-term cost. A complete siding project should protect the wall assembly behind the exterior—not simply cover the house with new boards.
Elite Home Exteriors NW provides complete siding replacement throughout Hillsboro and Washington County. As a James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor, we focus on proper tear-off, concealed damage repair, weather-resistant barriers, flashing, trim, siding installation, caulking, and exterior finishing.

Every home is different, so siding should not be priced from the home’s interior square footage alone. Contractors generally need to evaluate the exterior wall area, number of stories, gables, windows, doors, rooflines, access, demolition requirements, and finish details.
For early budgeting, Hillsboro homeowners can use these broad project categories:
The most accurate price comes from an on-site inspection and a written proposal based on the actual exterior. You can also review our broader Portland and Vancouver siding cost guide for additional planning information.
Two Hillsboro homes with similar interior square footage can have very different siding costs. A simple rectangular one-story house is generally easier to complete than a two- or three-story home with multiple gables, dormers, bump-outs, decks, roof-to-wall intersections, and limited access.
The following factors usually have the greatest effect on the final price.
Siding is based on the amount of exterior surface being covered—not the home’s listed living area. Tall walls, garages, gables, and architectural projections all add material and labor.
Multi-story homes often require additional scaffolding, staging, safety equipment, setup, and labor. Steep slopes, narrow side yards, landscaping, fences, decks, and neighboring structures can also make access more complicated.
Removing vinyl siding is different from removing cedar, engineered wood, T1-11, stucco, EIFS, aluminum, or an older fiber cement installation. Multiple layers, foam backing, heavy materials, and difficult disposal conditions may affect the total.
Elite Home Exteriors NW generally specializes in complete siding replacement rather than small repairs or covering failed siding. Tear-off allows the underlying wall to be inspected before a new system conceals it.
No contractor can see every concealed condition before the existing siding is removed. Hillsboro’s prolonged wet seasons can allow water intrusion to damage plywood or OSB sheathing, insulation, studs, window openings, and other wood components.
Common causes include:
Concealed repairs can change the final total, but damaged material should be corrected before it is covered. Learn more about our approach to dry rot and water damage during siding replacement.
The selected profile, texture, exposure, and layout all influence pricing. A straightforward lap-siding design is generally less labor-intensive than a home combining multiple products and patterns.
Popular options include:

Trim is a major part of a finished exterior. The number and size of windows, doors, corners, belly bands, gable details, columns, utility blocks, and other penetrations affect both material quantities and installation time.
A proposal should clearly explain which trim components are included instead of treating them as an afterthought.
Homeowners can choose factory-finished ColorPlus® products or pre-primed James Hardie siding that is painted after installation.
Field-applied paint provides extensive color flexibility and makes it possible to finish siding, trim, doors, gutters, and other designated components as one coordinated project. ColorPlus® Technology provides a consistent factory-applied finish and can reduce on-site painting requirements.
The better option depends on your design, color preference, project scope, and budget. Read our comparison of James Hardie ColorPlus vs. painted siding.
The visible siding is only one part of the exterior wall system. A lower estimate may omit or minimize important water-management details that are difficult to see once the project is finished.
Depending on the home and approved scope, a complete system may include:

When comparing proposals, compare the complete scope—not only the total at the bottom of the page.
A detailed siding replacement estimate should identify whether it includes:
An unusually low estimate may exclude tear-off, rot repair, flashing, painting, trim, disposal, or other work that later appears as an added cost. Ask each contractor to explain exclusions and allowances in writing.
James Hardie fiber cement commonly costs more upfront than entry-level vinyl siding. However, purchase price is only one part of the decision.
Hardie® siding is designed to resist damage from moisture, pests, weather, and external fire exposure. It also provides extensive options for lap siding, vertical panels, board and batten, shake accents, trim, textures, and colors. James Hardie states that qualifying siding products include a 30-year, non-prorated limited substrate warranty, subject to its current written terms and proper installation.
Traditional wood and cedar can create a beautiful exterior but generally require more ongoing maintenance. Vinyl can have a lower initial cost but may crack, warp, fade, or sustain impact and heat damage. Engineered wood products can also experience swelling or deterioration when water reaches vulnerable edges or penetrates an improperly detailed wall.
The best value is the product and wall system that fits the home, budget, architecture, and long-term maintenance expectations. Visit the official James Hardie website for current product and manufacturer warranty information.
Hillsboro and the Tualatin Valley experience long periods of rain, damp conditions, wind-driven moisture, and limited drying time. Water does not need a large opening to cause trouble. Small failures at windows, doors, rooflines, utility penetrations, decks, and trim transitions can repeatedly direct moisture behind the exterior.
That is why new siding alone cannot correct every problem. The condition of the sheathing, weather-resistant barrier, flashing, trim transitions, and penetrations matters just as much as the product visible from the street.
A complete tear-off provides an opportunity to:
Our Hillsboro siding contractor page explains how these systems work together on local homes.
The pricing factors are similar throughout Hillsboro, but the homes and site conditions can vary significantly by neighborhood.
Homes may include multiple siding profiles, detailed trim, narrow access points, and modern architectural features. Townhomes and multi-family properties can also require coordinated planning and larger-scale access systems.
Many established homes have aging cedar, engineered wood, T1-11, or vinyl siding. The condition of the original weather barrier and window flashing becomes especially important during replacement.
Two-story designs, gables, dormers, and decorative elevations can increase exterior wall area and installation complexity even when the home’s interior square footage appears average.
Newer construction does not automatically eliminate siding concerns. Installation details, transitions, penetrations, product selection, and exposure still determine how well an exterior manages moisture over time.
Older houses may require lead-safe work practices, careful demolition, additional sheathing repairs, and customized trim details. Elite Home Exteriors NW is a Lead-Based Paint Abatement Certified Siding Contractor for projects where lead-painted materials may be present.
We also serve nearby communities throughout our Oregon siding service area, including Beaverton, Aloha, Tanasbourne, Cornelius, Forest Grove, Banks, North Plains, Tigard, and the greater Portland metro area.
Homeowners can control some project costs without sacrificing the parts of the system that protect the house.
Consider these practical options:
Avoid reducing cost by eliminating necessary flashing, weather barriers, rot repair, proper fasteners, or manufacturer-required installation details. Those components are difficult and expensive to correct after the siding is installed.
Complete siding replacement can improve much more than curb appeal. It creates an opportunity to inspect and correct concealed problems, improve the exterior’s water-management details, reduce recurring maintenance, and modernize the home’s appearance.

The home’s living area does not equal its siding area, so a reliable price cannot be calculated from 2,000 square feet alone. The contractor must evaluate exterior wall measurements, stories, gables, openings, access, siding materials, trim, painting, and concealed conditions. An on-site inspection is the best way to establish an accurate scope.
The amount varies widely. Some homes require only limited sheathing replacement, while others have damage around windows, decks, roof intersections, or framing. Your proposal should explain the included allowance and how additional repair work will be documented and approved.
Installing over old siding can conceal failed flashing, damaged sheathing, moisture intrusion, and other problems. A complete tear-off is often the better approach when the existing exterior has failed or the condition of the wall system is uncertain.
Many residential projects take approximately one to several weeks, depending on the home’s size, architectural complexity, weather, painting requirements, access, and the amount of concealed repair work discovered after removal.
Not always. Primed siding generally requires a field-applied finish, while ColorPlus® products arrive with a factory-applied finish. Ask whether the estimate includes preparation, caulking, primer where needed, siding paint, trim paint, doors, gutters, and other designated surfaces. Learn more about our exterior painting services.
Yes. James Hardie fiber cement is a strong option for Western Oregon because it resists rot, pests, moisture-related damage, and combustion while providing extensive design flexibility. Correct installation, flashing, clearances, and water management remain essential.
Elite Home Exteriors NW focuses on complete siding replacements and significant exterior projects rather than isolated one-board, window-trim, or small patch repairs.

Working with Ian and his team was a wonderful experience. We met with a handful of companies before picking a contractor. Most spent hours mansplaining how siding works through formal presentations with imagery of worst case scenarios and reasons for why you should only work with their team. Ian listened to us, respected our time, and was very easy to work with. His team did incredible work with the siding and roofing on our house, and they went above and beyond to help us add a new covered entrance to our home. Our house feels brand new and we couldn’t be happier with it or our experience throughout this process.+1
Elite Home Exteriors NW is the BEST choice for siding replacement. They go beyond just installing, but provide information about Hardie product, the care of siding after the install and pro & con of choices we made. They never force options but provide expert information by which we were able to make the right choices. They have expert, skilled installers & painters who worked with us to insure a near perfect installation. I have worked with contractors for over 50 years and Elite is the most trustworthy company I have ever had business with.+1
Really wish we were able to give 6 stars here... Bottom Line: Elite Home Exteriors NW (Ian & the whole team) made one of the largest projects we've tackled absolutely seamless with spectacular results. We are soooo happy with how everything turned out! Our home was built around 1920, covered in very old cedar shakes and was probably one of the more... interesting and "unique" houses this team had to work with. Nothing is square/level, exterior electrical conduit/plumbing stack everywhere, we found dry rot and missing sheathing - you know, all the fun problems. Ian convinced us (and later proved to us) that his team could handle it. Some of the highlights of Elite's work: - From the first meeting with Ian and getting a proposal, we knew we were getting an honest and genuine quote. He made us feel so comfortable with the project and helped us see the end result - The quote came in and hit our budget goal, right from the get go - The crew that came to demo and remove all the old siding were great to work with. They identified problems, notified us promptly and came up with some great solutions to resolve (dry rot, missing studs, missing sheathing) - The same crew cleaned up every night before they left and were always ready to go first thing in the morning - New house wrap (great house wrap by the way) and siding went up over the course of a week. We were super impressed with some of the specialized cuts they had to make! - Later, they pressure washed the ENTIRE house (including the deck) and started caulking. The caulking in and of itself looked fantastic - A separate painting crew came through and finished up the project ahead of schedule. The overall masking and attention to detail getting all the eaves, beams, gutters, downspouts painted went flawlessly (props to Sherwin Williams paint BTW) Overall, what we thought was going to be a long, drawn-out and stressful project only turned out to be the exact opposite. Ian's crew(s) took just over a month to finish this two story house with detached garage. We still walk around the house every night and admire the quality of the work and reflect on just how happy we are with the whole situation. It honestly feels like a brand new house... We would HAPPILY recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone looking to tackle siding replacement and painting for their homes!+6
Easy to talk too and schedule. Also very flexible when it came to the project itself.+2
The South wall of the house had rot and cut siding from a previous connected wood deck. Ian was a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional from start to finish. He answered detailed questions, gave me several options to fit within my budget. Ian communicated with me throughout the process, and was accommodating when I requested more detail, or a change during planning phase. His crew shows up on schedule, were friendly and courteous of my property, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The job was completed quickly and within budget. The new siding and paint is an asset to this house and exceeds my expectations. I enjoyed working with Ian, and would recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone considering a siding update for their home.+1
Nice job by Nick and his team. I'm a realtor and needed to have a vinyl repair job done for my client. The vinyl siding was melted by long term use of a BBQ grill. Nick & crew matched the style and color perfectly. The job was done quickly, on time, and the invoice matched the quote. If you need the job done, and done correctly, call Elite Home Exteriors, they'll take care of you. Look no further! Dennis Hildebrand+5
Ian was awesome to work with! Friendly, on time, and great communication!Verified
We hired Elite Home Exteriors to remove vinyl siding and replace it with Hardie lap siding. We were concerned that water may have leaked behind the vinyl siding and caused unseen damage. We got several bids and Ian's bid was not the lowest, but it was the most detailed in terms on scope of work and he offered a much better warranty than the other companies. Ian patiently answered all of my questions either verbally or by email and made me feel comfortable with his competence to do a great job for us. And he did! His crew was well-trained and paid attention to detail. The work was done well and completed in a timely manner. The workers cleaned up after they finished and did not leave any loose ends. I highly recommend Elite Home Exteriors for any siding project you may be considering.
Ian and his crew did an outstanding job replacing and painting the siding on the south side of our home. Communication was great, the job site was thoroughly cleaned, workers were efficient and courteous, and the price was toward the lower end of the six bids we obtained. Thank you, EHENW!
Ian is incredibly kind, professional, and quick to respond to any questions. We had siding and gutters replaced, and had our house painted. All of the work done is excellent, and finished very quickly. Cannot recommend enough.
We had a great experience re-siding and painting our house with Elite Home Exteriors. Ian was responsive and accommodating to our needs, and we're really happy with how much better our house looks over the old vinyl siding. Would definitely do business with again.
Ian and his team were fantastic! Great communication and explanation of the process and scope of work. All of our questions were answered and he made sure we were kept informed of any updates and changes along the way. The crew was professional, prompt and thorough, and the finished product looks great!
Needed some siding and soffit work on a 1922 aluminum siding dormer. Ian came out, looked at the project, and started the very next week. All of his workers were top notch and friendly. They even relocated a squirrel family living in our eaves. This job was done quickly and efficiently and the communication was excellent. Ian came out several times to check on the work and answer any questions we had. Their cleanup was great- just a few stray nails and debris, but that’s to be expected. He actually fixed a couple of areas that weren’t in the scope of the project for no extra charge. The painters he subcontracted with were also wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend Ian and his team for any of your siding needs.Couldn’t have gone smoother and I know that’s not always the case.
Ian was very responsive, had great communication and was very helpful. The workers were friendly, prompt, and worked hard. My house looks great!
Ian and his crew installed new siding and painted my home and we could not be more pleased with the results! Ian was very patient about explaining the process and everybody on his crew was equally patient and courteous. 10/10, would recommend!
We invited Ian to provide an assessment and bid on some decaying wood decorative shingles on our home. From the minute he pulled up and walked around, this felt like someone I could trust. There was one area of concern that may have some rot into the house. When his team got to that section they were unsure what they would find. And to my pleasant surprise and appreciation, they found nothing. A small section that he fixed for free, not more in the bid. His team was prompt, friendly, and did an exceptional job. From preparation to final clean up, this is the type of vendor you want to have everyone emulate his professionalism, honesty, and commitment to follow up and making things right. He has earned our business for life and would recommend him to any friends, family, or neighbors.
Ian and his team were wonderful to work with. The house turned out great and we’ve gotten so many compliments. The team were timely and finished earlier than expected! We did a full siding replacement and paint job and both teams he used were fantastic.
I called Ian regarding an issue with my siding (installed by a different company). Ian was very helpful getting me information needed to file a warranty claim. Even though I didn't use Elite Home Exteriors NW (yet), I appreciate the help and quick response.
Choose this company for you siding, you won't be sorry! The owner Ian, is far and above best contractor I have ever worked with. Excels at communication, follow up and explains everything in a friendly non-pressure way. I interviewed three other contractors, before settling on Elite. I knew I would be in good hands for this huge investment with Ian as he was genuine and sincere about providing the best result. Both the siding and the paint crew are top notch professionals, with a great work ethic and attention to detail, they are Hardie trained so you can be sure the installation was done to the highest standard and it shows! We went from ugly worn out 20 year vinyl to James Hardie siding, and the difference astounding, very very happy with what feels like a new house now.
Wish I could give it 10 stars!. Having worked in the construction business for years I was so impressed with Ian from our first meeting. He stayed in contact with me throughout the process. His team were amazing, timely, clean, and the final product looks just amazing. Highly recommend.
Ian Vidovic is the owner/manager of Elite Home Exteriors, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have accepted his bid for replacing the hardi-plank siding on an exterior wall of our house in Camas, Washington. Our house is on Prune Hill, and the eastern wall faces the onslaught of the Gorge winds and its rain, snow, and ice storms. Long-term damage in our 22-year old house included dry rot all the way to the studs. Ian's bid was not only reasonable, but his word was bond. His crews came on time, as promised. The demolition was completed in one day. The replacement siding in another day. The wall was pressure-washed and painted by a professional crew. Ian was honest, communicative, and very personable. He is the BEST contractor we have ever employed, and we highly recommend him and his company. Stephen Chipps & Laura Sherrill
Ian did incredible work for my clients and I!! I am a real estate broker and it's so difficult to find a siding company that can work within the timing constraints of a real estate transaction. Ian did! In the inspection period, it was discovered that my client's soon-to-be-home had siding that was completely failing. Ian went out same day to take a look and provided a quick and accurate quote a few hours later. Not only was his pricing reasonable, but he was able to get the siding job completed before the close of the transaction. My clients have moved into their freshly sided home and are eager for Spring so they can work with Ian to paint it!! He was so communicative and friendly throughout the process. I will be calling him for my own home and recommending him to clients as well! 10/10!
I would definitely recommend calling Ian at Elite Home Exteriors NW. He is a certified Hardi Plank installer. We unfortunately hired another company to save a couple thousand dollars. (Small HOA, I was out numbered) I really wanted to hire him for several reasons. They are Elite Preferred Installers and definitely deserve and have earned the title. Ian was so helpful and knowledgeable when we were getting estimates for the job. Even though we used a different siding company, he was kind enough to come and inspect the job after installation and before painting!. So thankful he did this for us! He found a piece of Z metal flashing was completely missing on top of a trim board. These details are so important! And something a layman like us, are just not going to notice. He also pointed out how thin the caulking line is. I noticed it was not a nice pretty, straight, clean line. Definitely makes sense that it should be thicker. He also would have replaced the old plastic vents with a newer type that birds can't get into and build their own little homes. Which makes perfect sense! When your replacing 26 year old siding you should upgrade vents also. I really can't express how much I appreciate all of Ian's help. I would highly recommend hiring him for your Hardie Plank installation. He knows the product and installation process very well and has a sharp eye for details. Which is really what you want and need when spending thousands on siding. Thank you Ian! Thank you so much for all of your help.
Ian the owner was very knowledgeable and was willing to be extremely flexible in bidding my project. One of the best companies I had out to look at my siding project. They use quality materials and have a pride in excellence that is refreshing to see in the industry. I would refer him to my best friend.
I had the pleasure of working with Ian Vidovic to discuss our home siding project, and I couldn't be more impressed! Ian's expertise is truly unmatched. He took the time to explain various cost-saving options, ensuring that we didn’t feel pressured into making any long-term decisions before we were ready. His honesty, kindness, and deep knowledge of his craft gave us complete confidence in our choices. It's rare to find someone in this industry who genuinely cares about the client's needs above all else. If you're looking for a siding expert who is both skilled and trustworthy, I highly recommend Ian. Thank you, Ian, for your exceptional service!
Ian is extremely knowledgeable at his craft. He was so patient with all of our questions and concerns. We felt so comfortable from the moment we met him. We met with a few other companies to do our due diligence but Ian was the clear choice.
I received multiple estimates on my siding job and the only company that followed through with a thoughtful plan and a reasonable price was Elite. Ian provided excellent customer service, quality work and 100% reliability. I highly recommend Elite!
My home has a fairly complex exterior, and we were looking to re-side the home as we were dealing with constant issues of water intrusion. I was searching the greater Portland/Vancouver area for Siding Contractors for Hardie Siding, as we really just wanted something that would hold up against the elements and protect us in the case of any nearby fires (we’re close to some woods). After meeting Ian from Elite Home Exteriors, we decided to go with him and we couldn’t have been happier that we decided to go with him as out Siding Contractor. We had additional problems from the water damage too, and the folks he recommended were also top notch. Ian and team are a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means basically that he’s passed the highest certification for installing James Hardie siding products. I would work with him again, but based on his fit and finish, I probably won’t need to! Thanks Ian!
I have to say, Ian has been a joy to work with. He is professional, thoroughly helpful, knowledgeable, and detail focused. His standards for fit and finish meant that the job is done right the first time… which is not something I can say for every siding contractor I’ve ever worked with. For what it’s worth, Ian is a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means he has passed the highest standards of how to properly and beautifully install James Hardie siding products. Hardie siding is a pretty great fit for the northwest, as it resists both water AND fire… I am frankly relieved by no longer having to worry about water intrusion after the great job that Ian and Elite Home Exteriors did on our home. I would absolutely work with them again.
Working with Ian and his company was an absolute pleasure. I currently own 2 homes and have had 3 previous houses, so I’ve had experience with many contractors over the last 20 years and most are not good. My husband and I had a water intrusion issue (undisclosed to us during a house purchase) that we subsequently discovered for ourselves 6 months later in the rainy season. After meeting with many contactors to figure out how to execute the repair, we decided that their prices were outrageous even for just a patch job and we decided to do the right thing and replace all the wood siding with Hardie plank. My husband found Ian online, and we met with him. He is excellent at communication, through emails/text and/or phone calls. He was always pleasant to meet with and didn’t talk to me as if I was a dumb homeowner, which happens quite a bit in this industry. He was happy to answer all my questions and work with us on a documented design for adding architectural details so there was no questions on how the job would look. He and his crew were always punctual and professional. They finished the job ahead of schedule and did everything promised. Honestly, the water intrusion situation was very stressful, but Ian made it a pleasure to get resolved. I am so happy that we went with him and have had excellent results. My high-strung HOA was even happy about his work and gave us a compliment. I wholeheartedly recommend him, and I would be happy to talk to anyone wanting a reference about our pleasant experience. It isn’t every day that such a huge job is completed with such ease and professionalism. I 100% recommend working with Ian and Elite Home Exteriors NW – you won’t be disappointed!

Glad I hired Ian and his team to replace siding on the south-facing side of my house. Communication with Ian throughout project was as good as any contractor I've worked with. The work was done well, went smoothly, just what you want. Also glad to see them not show up in expensive vehicle wrapped graphics, etc that the customer pays for. I'll have more siding to do on my house and will hire them again.
Great communication by the company. The workers are skilled, arrived on time, and they are very friendly. We love the work they did on our house. The new siding makes our older home look like a new house!
Work performed - Independent Siding Consultation and Detailed Work Estimate We contacted Ian V. at Elite Home Exteriors NW after searching online for a specialist siding contractor and then speaking to his father in WA while Ian was on a family vacation… he came to quote promptly upon his return, for a very large exterior home renovation project. The bid came from Ian quickly, following a thorough walk-through inspection and in great detail, and was several thousand dollars less than 2 other bids we’d received for exactly the same scope of work. Although we chose to use another company to work with, Ian remained gracious, asked some great questions to remain involved with our decisions, and even came and visited the work site to consult after siding work had started (and framing/shiplap was exposed to assess damage and advise). He wanted to ensure that although we weren’t employing his company, that his competitor wasn’t missing anything that would jeopardize the success of the overall project and that we could feel confident in our discussions with them when the time came to discuss details of the repair process. When asked about compensation for this service, he graciously declined, gave us his ideas and thoughts so we could remain entirely informed, and confident of the work being performed. He remained available as an independent resource. We know there are a lot of choices to make when renovating a home, and although we didn’t use Elite in this occasion, we feel extremely lucky to have met Ian and look forward to working with them in some capacity in the future. Incidentally, he connected us to his roofing colleagues who replaced our roof and our experience with them was second to none… the pair are a real class act. Wholeheartedly recommend contacting them, allowing them to bid on work and discussion expectations, as they are very experienced in quite unorthodox situations relating to siding repair, replacement and dry rot arising from compromised stucco and EFIS. We honestly can’t thank Ian & his team enough for caring (unequivocally) for us from the outset.
Excellent, attentive service, Ian answered all my questions whenever I asked them. We had our house looking new with better siding and a new paint job within a month. Zero complaints at all, really happy with the results. Absolutely recommended.
We used Ian to repair the dry rot on our current home. He was extremely responsive and his team did a high quality job. We then asked him to look at the siding on our new home and he came the following day! Wouldn't trust our siding work to anyone else.
I chose to contract the team at Elite Home Exteriors NW to replace my siding as they had a fair price and provided a detail guide of materials, process and standards. They exceeded my expectations by finishing work early, were quick to communicate, did a fantastic job of replacing the siding and the team that did the install were friendly and helpful. I would solidly recommend Elite Home Exteriors!
Elite Home Exteriors NW did an outstanding job on re-siding our home. From the initial survey and quote, to scheduling and completing the work, they were extremely transparent, communicative and professional! Very happy with our new siding and paint for our home!
Ian and his team done a fantastic job. We resided our home with new siding and exterior paint. We are very happy of the outcome of their work. They did a great job!
We hired Elite to replace our 90 year old cedar shingle with Hardie siding (10 inch reveal + board/batten). They also replaced our gutters and painted the house. From start to finish, Ian and Nick were a pleasure to deal with. We closely compared their bid to another contractor and decided to go with them even though they were marginally more expensive as they added more value during the sales process to our decision making and it felt like their bid was "more inclusive". The work itself was done to a very high quality and any issues were resolved quickly and fairly. As part of the siding work, we found some significant dry rot in our sill plate and rim joist on one corner. Elite took this repair work on for a very reasonable cost and ensured it didn't impact the overall schedule. Elite were also very flexible when our requirements changed for certain sections during the process and when there was a cost differential it was always very reasonable. I would strongly recommend Elite to anyone, we are delighted with the finished product and have had many positive comments from neighbours and passers-by.
Update: The team went above and beyond. I had additional projects I needed help with on the exterior of my home and the team was right there quickly and throughly helped me accomplish them. Superior service. - Elite Home Exteriors was amazing. Definitely the largest renovation I’ve ever done my to my house and the team took care of me the entire way. They were always responsive and always took the time to answer all my questions. They even completed the project ahead of schedule! All I had to do was sit back and wait. Would defiantly recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW. They went above and beyond!
We hired Elite Home Exteriors to replace the siding on the back of our house with James Hardie Sierra 8" fiber cement as the old T1-11 siding was showing its age. The rest of the T1-11 siding on the house looked good so we opted to leave it in place except for one section where a previous owner had cut through the siding to install a dog door. We had this additional section replaced with matching T1-11 siding. After the siding was installed/replaced we had Elite Home Exteriors paint the house as well. I felt like we were in good hands throughout the entire process. Ian was very helpful guiding us through the process from start to finish and very quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. The crews that worked on the house were great and answered even more questions I had the days the work was being done. The siding looks great. The paint job looks great. These guys know what they are doing.
Ian and Nick did a great job on our bungalow downtown. It was a full siding replacement, roof, and paint job. It was a big job. We got six quotes because we were interested in repairing the original siding under the outer layers. We eventually realized this wasn't feasible because there wasn't any barrier under the original siding - not even paper which does exist on some early 1900s houses. Ian was great at listening to our requirements and just as good at getting his team to implement them. We are very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend them. Simply put, after getting all the quotes it was clear Ian understood what we wanted when he put it in writing. More importantly it was all delivered at the cost that was in the quote. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone.
We worked with Elite Home Exteriors NW for both replacing our roof and refreshing our exterior paint. Ian and all of his crew were incredibly great to work with, staying communicative along the whole process from start to finish and being flexible with their schedules! Additionally, they took extra measures to ensure the outcome of those projects (i.e. pressuring washing the entire house, cleaning up gutters, and fixing/replacing broken siding). Both projects went along without a hitch and our home looks brand new (and AMAZING). Quality products, quality service, but more importantly…quality people who take great pride in the services they provide. I highly recommend them to anyone needing to replace or upgrade their homes. It was a brilliant experience and couldn’t be more thankful for hiring them.
Ian did a great job of managing this project (adding Hardie Shake accents to the front of the house) and was knowledgeable and very responsive to all of my questions. The crew did an excellent job and completed the work on-time. The house looks great!

Elite Home Exteriors NW did a complete residing (Hardi) and painting of my 2-story house. All team members, (company rep, siding and paint) were professional, thorough, and detail oriented. The final result is superb. There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe the excellent job on all fronts these folks did. I would highly recommend this company!
This project was a complete Hardi residing of a two story house with complicated roof lines and many windows. The siding work was completed in November and final paint in March '21 (due to our typical Vancouver WA rainy weather moving in for the season!). The final result is excellent! Both teams, siding and paint, were meticulous and focused on the finer details. They were a pleasure to work with. From initial quotes through to regular updates during the project, communication was responsive and thorough. Ian, co-owner and customer facing rep, was a pleasure to work with and his customer focused attention was exceptional. I highly recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW.
