Learn what affects siding replacement prices in Gresham, what a complete estimate should include, and how to avoid costly installation shortcuts.
If you are researching the cost of siding replacement in Gresham, Oregon, you have probably discovered that most websites give broad national averages that do not explain what a complete Pacific Northwest siding project actually involves.
The final price is not determined by siding material alone. Home size, number of stories, architectural details, demolition, painting, access, flashing work and hidden damage can all affect the investment required to replace your siding correctly.
For many Gresham homes, a complete siding replacement is more than a cosmetic upgrade. It is an opportunity to remove aging or failing siding, inspect the structure, repair water damage and rebuild the exterior with a dependable moisture-management system.
Elite Home Exteriors NW specializes in complete siding replacement, James Hardie® fiber cement siding, exterior waterproofing and rot repair for homeowners throughout Gresham and the Portland metro area.

Every home is different, but many complete siding replacement projects in the Gresham area can fall within these broad planning ranges:
These figures are general planning ranges—not quotes or guaranteed prices. A small home with extensive rot, difficult access or numerous architectural details can cost more than a larger home with simple elevations and sound sheathing.
The most reliable way to determine your actual siding replacement cost is to have a contractor measure the home, inspect the visible conditions and prepare a detailed written scope of work.
When comparing estimates, compare what each contractor is actually including—not just the number at the bottom of the proposal.
A properly prepared proposal should explain far more than the brand and color of the new siding. Depending on your home and selected materials, a complete project may include:
If one proposal is significantly lower than the others, determine whether demolition, disposal, trim, flashing, weather-barrier installation, painting or potential repair procedures have been excluded.
For a closer look at the system beneath new siding, read our guide to weather barriers and flashing systems.
Siding is typically estimated using the square footage of the exterior wall surfaces, not the interior living space alone. A 2,000-square-foot house does not automatically have 2,000 square feet of siding.
Wall height, attached garages, gables, bump-outs and the overall footprint all affect the amount of siding, trim and labor required.
A straightforward one-story ranch is generally easier to access than a two- or three-story home. Taller elevations can require additional scaffolding, safety equipment, setup time and labor.
Homes built on slopes or lots with limited access may also require more planning and jobsite preparation.
Simple walls are faster to complete than elevations with numerous:
These features can make a home more attractive, but they require additional materials, cuts, flashing and installation time.
Removal costs vary depending on what is currently installed. Vinyl, cedar, engineered wood, aluminum, older fiber cement, synthetic stucco and multiple layers of siding can each require a different demolition process.
If siding was installed over another material, the crew may need to remove several layers before reaching the sheathing. That increases labor, disposal volume and the likelihood of uncovering concealed installation problems.
Material selection affects both product cost and installation labor. Common choices include:
The least expensive product is not automatically the most economical long-term choice. Maintenance, repainting, durability, repairability and expected service life should all be considered.
Elite Home Exteriors NW primarily recommends and installs James Hardie siding for homeowners who want a durable, attractive exterior with numerous style options. You can also explore products and design inspiration on the official James Hardie website.
The amount and type of trim can meaningfully change the cost of a siding project. Common upgrades include:
A good proposal should identify these details so that you know exactly which exterior design is being priced.
With pre-primed siding, the project price typically includes professional exterior painting after installation. Paint cost can change based on the size of the home, number of colors, amount of masking and complexity of the exterior.
Factory-finished siding may carry a higher material cost but can reduce the amount of field painting required. The right option depends on your preferred colors, budget, finish expectations and project design.
No contractor can see every concealed condition before removing the siding. Soft sheathing, deteriorated framing, damaged insulation and failed window details may only become visible during demolition.
Common locations for concealed damage include:
If you are concerned about moisture, read our guide to hidden rot behind siding in Gresham.
Rot repair is one of the largest unknowns in any siding replacement estimate. Minor sheathing damage may be relatively straightforward to repair. Widespread deterioration affecting studs, window openings, rim joists or structural components can require substantially more labor and materials.
A responsible contractor should explain:
Elite Home Exteriors NW includes its ELITE rot allowance in qualifying siding proposals: up to four man-hours of labor, five sheets of plywood and three rolls of fiberglass insulation. There is no credit if the allowance is not needed. Repairs beyond the included allowance require an approved change order and are priced according to the contract.
This approach provides protection for smaller discoveries while creating a clear process if larger damage is uncovered.
Gresham homes experience months of wet Pacific Northwest weather, wind-driven rain, seasonal temperature changes and summer sun exposure. The finished siding is important, but it is only one part of the exterior assembly.
A durable system also depends on:
New siding can look excellent while the vulnerable details behind it remain incorrect. That is why the workmanship and scope of installation matter as much as the product name.
James Hardie fiber cement is generally a premium siding system compared with basic vinyl. Its installed price reflects the weight of the material, specialized cutting and fastening requirements, trim details, flashing practices and finishing process.
Homeowners choose James Hardie because it offers:
James Hardie lists a 30-year limited, non-prorated substrate warranty for qualifying siding products, subject to its written warranty terms. Product eligibility, installation, maintenance and other conditions matter, so homeowners should review the current manufacturer documents rather than relying on a verbal summary.
Learn more about James Hardie warranty coverage and view completed work in our James Hardie project gallery.
Vinyl can be a lower initial installed price than fiber cement. It can be appropriate for homeowners whose main priority is reducing upfront cost, but estimates should include all related work.
Soffits, fascia, window trim, door trim and other exterior components may still require painting or replacement. Freight, specialty accessories and availability can also affect the total.
When comparing vinyl with fiber cement, evaluate:
The best choice is the one that fits the home, budget and homeowner’s long-term expectations—not simply the material with the lowest advertised price.
Cedar provides a beautiful natural appearance, but it requires ongoing care in Gresham’s wet climate. Painting or staining, caulk maintenance and prompt attention to moisture-prone areas all contribute to its lifetime cost.
When deteriorated cedar is being replaced, some homeowners choose fiber cement to retain a traditional lap or shake appearance while reducing future concerns about wood decay and repeated refinishing.
Consider scheduling an exterior evaluation if you notice:
One visible defect does not always mean the entire home needs new siding. However, widespread deterioration, installation errors or recurring moisture problems may make complete replacement more practical than continuing to patch individual areas.
A low estimate may be legitimate, but it may also be based on a reduced scope. Before signing a contract, confirm whether it includes:
Installing new siding over unresolved water damage does not correct the cause. Likewise, an attractive finished wall will not compensate for missing flashing or poorly integrated weather-barrier details.
The right comparison is not “Which contractor is cheapest?” It is “Which proposal provides the most complete, clearly defined exterior system?”
Ask each contractor:
You can review our credentials and contractor certifications, browse customer reviews and view our before-and-after siding projects.
We discuss your concerns, review visible siding conditions and examine important transitions around windows, doors, decks, roofs and penetrations.
We measure the home and discuss siding profiles, trim details, accent materials, paint colors and other exterior components.
You receive a written scope identifying the major materials and work included in the project. We explain the plan so you can make an informed comparison.
The existing siding is removed so the sheathing and accessible structural areas can be inspected. Any concealed damage is documented and addressed according to the contract.
We install the specified weather-resistant barrier and integrate flashing at vulnerable openings, penetrations and transitions.
The siding and trim are installed using the required details. Pre-primed products are caulked and painted with the specified exterior coating system.
We clean the jobsite, review the completed exterior and address final project details with the homeowner.
Elite Home Exteriors NW is a local siding specialist—not a general remodeling company that only installs siding occasionally.
Gresham homeowners choose us for:
Our goal is not simply to cover a home with new siding. It is to correct the problems we uncover and build a complete exterior designed for long-term performance.

Elite Home Exteriors NW provides siding replacement services throughout Gresham and nearby East Multnomah County communities, including:
Whether your home is an older property near central Gresham, a two-story home near Kelly Creek or a newer exterior in the Pleasant Valley area, the estimate should be based on the actual design and condition of your home.

Interior square footage alone is not enough to calculate siding cost. A 2,000-square-foot ranch can have a very different exterior surface area than a 2,000-square-foot two-story home. Gables, garages, wall height, trim, access, demolition and damage must also be considered. An onsite measurement provides a more reliable answer.
A contractor can provide a fixed price for the visible and measurable scope, along with clear terms for unforeseen conditions. However, concealed rot cannot always be quantified before demolition. The contract should explain how additional repairs will be documented and approved.
It depends on the product and proposal. Pre-primed fiber cement normally requires field painting, while ColorPlus® products have a factory-applied finish. Always verify whether siding, trim, soffits, fascia, doors and other components are included in the painting scope.
For many Gresham homeowners, James Hardie is a strong long-term choice because it combines durability, design flexibility, low maintenance and resistance to rot and pests. Correct installation and moisture management remain essential to achieving the expected performance.
Insurance may cover certain sudden, accidental losses, but it generally does not pay for ordinary aging, deferred maintenance or long-term deterioration. Coverage depends on the event and policy. Contact your insurance carrier for a determination specific to your home.
Many projects take approximately one to several weeks. Home size, weather, architectural complexity, painting and the extent of concealed repairs can affect the schedule.
Elite Home Exteriors NW primarily specializes in complete siding replacement and substantial exterior renovation rather than small isolated repairs. If deterioration is widespread or moisture is entering through multiple details, complete replacement may provide a more dependable solution.

The cost of replacing siding depends on much more than the price of the boards. The strongest proposals account for demolition, structural inspection, moisture management, flashing, trim, finishing and the details required to protect the home after the project is complete.
If your Gresham home has aging siding, recurring paint failure, soft trim, visible damage or signs of moisture intrusion, Elite Home Exteriors NW can help you understand the condition of your exterior and compare the right replacement options.

Working with Ian and his team was a wonderful experience. We met with a handful of companies before picking a contractor. Most spent hours mansplaining how siding works through formal presentations with imagery of worst case scenarios and reasons for why you should only work with their team. Ian listened to us, respected our time, and was very easy to work with. His team did incredible work with the siding and roofing on our house, and they went above and beyond to help us add a new covered entrance to our home. Our house feels brand new and we couldn’t be happier with it or our experience throughout this process.+1
Elite Home Exteriors NW is the BEST choice for siding replacement. They go beyond just installing, but provide information about Hardie product, the care of siding after the install and pro & con of choices we made. They never force options but provide expert information by which we were able to make the right choices. They have expert, skilled installers & painters who worked with us to insure a near perfect installation. I have worked with contractors for over 50 years and Elite is the most trustworthy company I have ever had business with.+1
Really wish we were able to give 6 stars here... Bottom Line: Elite Home Exteriors NW (Ian & the whole team) made one of the largest projects we've tackled absolutely seamless with spectacular results. We are soooo happy with how everything turned out! Our home was built around 1920, covered in very old cedar shakes and was probably one of the more... interesting and "unique" houses this team had to work with. Nothing is square/level, exterior electrical conduit/plumbing stack everywhere, we found dry rot and missing sheathing - you know, all the fun problems. Ian convinced us (and later proved to us) that his team could handle it. Some of the highlights of Elite's work: - From the first meeting with Ian and getting a proposal, we knew we were getting an honest and genuine quote. He made us feel so comfortable with the project and helped us see the end result - The quote came in and hit our budget goal, right from the get go - The crew that came to demo and remove all the old siding were great to work with. They identified problems, notified us promptly and came up with some great solutions to resolve (dry rot, missing studs, missing sheathing) - The same crew cleaned up every night before they left and were always ready to go first thing in the morning - New house wrap (great house wrap by the way) and siding went up over the course of a week. We were super impressed with some of the specialized cuts they had to make! - Later, they pressure washed the ENTIRE house (including the deck) and started caulking. The caulking in and of itself looked fantastic - A separate painting crew came through and finished up the project ahead of schedule. The overall masking and attention to detail getting all the eaves, beams, gutters, downspouts painted went flawlessly (props to Sherwin Williams paint BTW) Overall, what we thought was going to be a long, drawn-out and stressful project only turned out to be the exact opposite. Ian's crew(s) took just over a month to finish this two story house with detached garage. We still walk around the house every night and admire the quality of the work and reflect on just how happy we are with the whole situation. It honestly feels like a brand new house... We would HAPPILY recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone looking to tackle siding replacement and painting for their homes!+6
Easy to talk too and schedule. Also very flexible when it came to the project itself.+2
The South wall of the house had rot and cut siding from a previous connected wood deck. Ian was a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional from start to finish. He answered detailed questions, gave me several options to fit within my budget. Ian communicated with me throughout the process, and was accommodating when I requested more detail, or a change during planning phase. His crew shows up on schedule, were friendly and courteous of my property, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The job was completed quickly and within budget. The new siding and paint is an asset to this house and exceeds my expectations. I enjoyed working with Ian, and would recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW to anyone considering a siding update for their home.+1
Nice job by Nick and his team. I'm a realtor and needed to have a vinyl repair job done for my client. The vinyl siding was melted by long term use of a BBQ grill. Nick & crew matched the style and color perfectly. The job was done quickly, on time, and the invoice matched the quote. If you need the job done, and done correctly, call Elite Home Exteriors, they'll take care of you. Look no further! Dennis Hildebrand+5
Ian was awesome to work with! Friendly, on time, and great communication!Verified
We hired Elite Home Exteriors to remove vinyl siding and replace it with Hardie lap siding. We were concerned that water may have leaked behind the vinyl siding and caused unseen damage. We got several bids and Ian's bid was not the lowest, but it was the most detailed in terms on scope of work and he offered a much better warranty than the other companies. Ian patiently answered all of my questions either verbally or by email and made me feel comfortable with his competence to do a great job for us. And he did! His crew was well-trained and paid attention to detail. The work was done well and completed in a timely manner. The workers cleaned up after they finished and did not leave any loose ends. I highly recommend Elite Home Exteriors for any siding project you may be considering.
Ian and his crew did an outstanding job replacing and painting the siding on the south side of our home. Communication was great, the job site was thoroughly cleaned, workers were efficient and courteous, and the price was toward the lower end of the six bids we obtained. Thank you, EHENW!
Ian is incredibly kind, professional, and quick to respond to any questions. We had siding and gutters replaced, and had our house painted. All of the work done is excellent, and finished very quickly. Cannot recommend enough.
We had a great experience re-siding and painting our house with Elite Home Exteriors. Ian was responsive and accommodating to our needs, and we're really happy with how much better our house looks over the old vinyl siding. Would definitely do business with again.
Ian and his team were fantastic! Great communication and explanation of the process and scope of work. All of our questions were answered and he made sure we were kept informed of any updates and changes along the way. The crew was professional, prompt and thorough, and the finished product looks great!
Needed some siding and soffit work on a 1922 aluminum siding dormer. Ian came out, looked at the project, and started the very next week. All of his workers were top notch and friendly. They even relocated a squirrel family living in our eaves. This job was done quickly and efficiently and the communication was excellent. Ian came out several times to check on the work and answer any questions we had. Their cleanup was great- just a few stray nails and debris, but that’s to be expected. He actually fixed a couple of areas that weren’t in the scope of the project for no extra charge. The painters he subcontracted with were also wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend Ian and his team for any of your siding needs.Couldn’t have gone smoother and I know that’s not always the case.
Ian was very responsive, had great communication and was very helpful. The workers were friendly, prompt, and worked hard. My house looks great!
Ian and his crew installed new siding and painted my home and we could not be more pleased with the results! Ian was very patient about explaining the process and everybody on his crew was equally patient and courteous. 10/10, would recommend!
We invited Ian to provide an assessment and bid on some decaying wood decorative shingles on our home. From the minute he pulled up and walked around, this felt like someone I could trust. There was one area of concern that may have some rot into the house. When his team got to that section they were unsure what they would find. And to my pleasant surprise and appreciation, they found nothing. A small section that he fixed for free, not more in the bid. His team was prompt, friendly, and did an exceptional job. From preparation to final clean up, this is the type of vendor you want to have everyone emulate his professionalism, honesty, and commitment to follow up and making things right. He has earned our business for life and would recommend him to any friends, family, or neighbors.
Ian and his team were wonderful to work with. The house turned out great and we’ve gotten so many compliments. The team were timely and finished earlier than expected! We did a full siding replacement and paint job and both teams he used were fantastic.
I called Ian regarding an issue with my siding (installed by a different company). Ian was very helpful getting me information needed to file a warranty claim. Even though I didn't use Elite Home Exteriors NW (yet), I appreciate the help and quick response.
Choose this company for you siding, you won't be sorry! The owner Ian, is far and above best contractor I have ever worked with. Excels at communication, follow up and explains everything in a friendly non-pressure way. I interviewed three other contractors, before settling on Elite. I knew I would be in good hands for this huge investment with Ian as he was genuine and sincere about providing the best result. Both the siding and the paint crew are top notch professionals, with a great work ethic and attention to detail, they are Hardie trained so you can be sure the installation was done to the highest standard and it shows! We went from ugly worn out 20 year vinyl to James Hardie siding, and the difference astounding, very very happy with what feels like a new house now.
Wish I could give it 10 stars!. Having worked in the construction business for years I was so impressed with Ian from our first meeting. He stayed in contact with me throughout the process. His team were amazing, timely, clean, and the final product looks just amazing. Highly recommend.
Ian Vidovic is the owner/manager of Elite Home Exteriors, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have accepted his bid for replacing the hardi-plank siding on an exterior wall of our house in Camas, Washington. Our house is on Prune Hill, and the eastern wall faces the onslaught of the Gorge winds and its rain, snow, and ice storms. Long-term damage in our 22-year old house included dry rot all the way to the studs. Ian's bid was not only reasonable, but his word was bond. His crews came on time, as promised. The demolition was completed in one day. The replacement siding in another day. The wall was pressure-washed and painted by a professional crew. Ian was honest, communicative, and very personable. He is the BEST contractor we have ever employed, and we highly recommend him and his company. Stephen Chipps & Laura Sherrill
Ian did incredible work for my clients and I!! I am a real estate broker and it's so difficult to find a siding company that can work within the timing constraints of a real estate transaction. Ian did! In the inspection period, it was discovered that my client's soon-to-be-home had siding that was completely failing. Ian went out same day to take a look and provided a quick and accurate quote a few hours later. Not only was his pricing reasonable, but he was able to get the siding job completed before the close of the transaction. My clients have moved into their freshly sided home and are eager for Spring so they can work with Ian to paint it!! He was so communicative and friendly throughout the process. I will be calling him for my own home and recommending him to clients as well! 10/10!
I would definitely recommend calling Ian at Elite Home Exteriors NW. He is a certified Hardi Plank installer. We unfortunately hired another company to save a couple thousand dollars. (Small HOA, I was out numbered) I really wanted to hire him for several reasons. They are Elite Preferred Installers and definitely deserve and have earned the title. Ian was so helpful and knowledgeable when we were getting estimates for the job. Even though we used a different siding company, he was kind enough to come and inspect the job after installation and before painting!. So thankful he did this for us! He found a piece of Z metal flashing was completely missing on top of a trim board. These details are so important! And something a layman like us, are just not going to notice. He also pointed out how thin the caulking line is. I noticed it was not a nice pretty, straight, clean line. Definitely makes sense that it should be thicker. He also would have replaced the old plastic vents with a newer type that birds can't get into and build their own little homes. Which makes perfect sense! When your replacing 26 year old siding you should upgrade vents also. I really can't express how much I appreciate all of Ian's help. I would highly recommend hiring him for your Hardie Plank installation. He knows the product and installation process very well and has a sharp eye for details. Which is really what you want and need when spending thousands on siding. Thank you Ian! Thank you so much for all of your help.
Ian the owner was very knowledgeable and was willing to be extremely flexible in bidding my project. One of the best companies I had out to look at my siding project. They use quality materials and have a pride in excellence that is refreshing to see in the industry. I would refer him to my best friend.
I had the pleasure of working with Ian Vidovic to discuss our home siding project, and I couldn't be more impressed! Ian's expertise is truly unmatched. He took the time to explain various cost-saving options, ensuring that we didn’t feel pressured into making any long-term decisions before we were ready. His honesty, kindness, and deep knowledge of his craft gave us complete confidence in our choices. It's rare to find someone in this industry who genuinely cares about the client's needs above all else. If you're looking for a siding expert who is both skilled and trustworthy, I highly recommend Ian. Thank you, Ian, for your exceptional service!
Ian is extremely knowledgeable at his craft. He was so patient with all of our questions and concerns. We felt so comfortable from the moment we met him. We met with a few other companies to do our due diligence but Ian was the clear choice.
I received multiple estimates on my siding job and the only company that followed through with a thoughtful plan and a reasonable price was Elite. Ian provided excellent customer service, quality work and 100% reliability. I highly recommend Elite!
My home has a fairly complex exterior, and we were looking to re-side the home as we were dealing with constant issues of water intrusion. I was searching the greater Portland/Vancouver area for Siding Contractors for Hardie Siding, as we really just wanted something that would hold up against the elements and protect us in the case of any nearby fires (we’re close to some woods). After meeting Ian from Elite Home Exteriors, we decided to go with him and we couldn’t have been happier that we decided to go with him as out Siding Contractor. We had additional problems from the water damage too, and the folks he recommended were also top notch. Ian and team are a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means basically that he’s passed the highest certification for installing James Hardie siding products. I would work with him again, but based on his fit and finish, I probably won’t need to! Thanks Ian!
I have to say, Ian has been a joy to work with. He is professional, thoroughly helpful, knowledgeable, and detail focused. His standards for fit and finish meant that the job is done right the first time… which is not something I can say for every siding contractor I’ve ever worked with. For what it’s worth, Ian is a James Hardie Elite Preferred Siding Contractor, which means he has passed the highest standards of how to properly and beautifully install James Hardie siding products. Hardie siding is a pretty great fit for the northwest, as it resists both water AND fire… I am frankly relieved by no longer having to worry about water intrusion after the great job that Ian and Elite Home Exteriors did on our home. I would absolutely work with them again.
Working with Ian and his company was an absolute pleasure. I currently own 2 homes and have had 3 previous houses, so I’ve had experience with many contractors over the last 20 years and most are not good. My husband and I had a water intrusion issue (undisclosed to us during a house purchase) that we subsequently discovered for ourselves 6 months later in the rainy season. After meeting with many contactors to figure out how to execute the repair, we decided that their prices were outrageous even for just a patch job and we decided to do the right thing and replace all the wood siding with Hardie plank. My husband found Ian online, and we met with him. He is excellent at communication, through emails/text and/or phone calls. He was always pleasant to meet with and didn’t talk to me as if I was a dumb homeowner, which happens quite a bit in this industry. He was happy to answer all my questions and work with us on a documented design for adding architectural details so there was no questions on how the job would look. He and his crew were always punctual and professional. They finished the job ahead of schedule and did everything promised. Honestly, the water intrusion situation was very stressful, but Ian made it a pleasure to get resolved. I am so happy that we went with him and have had excellent results. My high-strung HOA was even happy about his work and gave us a compliment. I wholeheartedly recommend him, and I would be happy to talk to anyone wanting a reference about our pleasant experience. It isn’t every day that such a huge job is completed with such ease and professionalism. I 100% recommend working with Ian and Elite Home Exteriors NW – you won’t be disappointed!

Glad I hired Ian and his team to replace siding on the south-facing side of my house. Communication with Ian throughout project was as good as any contractor I've worked with. The work was done well, went smoothly, just what you want. Also glad to see them not show up in expensive vehicle wrapped graphics, etc that the customer pays for. I'll have more siding to do on my house and will hire them again.
Great communication by the company. The workers are skilled, arrived on time, and they are very friendly. We love the work they did on our house. The new siding makes our older home look like a new house!
Work performed - Independent Siding Consultation and Detailed Work Estimate We contacted Ian V. at Elite Home Exteriors NW after searching online for a specialist siding contractor and then speaking to his father in WA while Ian was on a family vacation… he came to quote promptly upon his return, for a very large exterior home renovation project. The bid came from Ian quickly, following a thorough walk-through inspection and in great detail, and was several thousand dollars less than 2 other bids we’d received for exactly the same scope of work. Although we chose to use another company to work with, Ian remained gracious, asked some great questions to remain involved with our decisions, and even came and visited the work site to consult after siding work had started (and framing/shiplap was exposed to assess damage and advise). He wanted to ensure that although we weren’t employing his company, that his competitor wasn’t missing anything that would jeopardize the success of the overall project and that we could feel confident in our discussions with them when the time came to discuss details of the repair process. When asked about compensation for this service, he graciously declined, gave us his ideas and thoughts so we could remain entirely informed, and confident of the work being performed. He remained available as an independent resource. We know there are a lot of choices to make when renovating a home, and although we didn’t use Elite in this occasion, we feel extremely lucky to have met Ian and look forward to working with them in some capacity in the future. Incidentally, he connected us to his roofing colleagues who replaced our roof and our experience with them was second to none… the pair are a real class act. Wholeheartedly recommend contacting them, allowing them to bid on work and discussion expectations, as they are very experienced in quite unorthodox situations relating to siding repair, replacement and dry rot arising from compromised stucco and EFIS. We honestly can’t thank Ian & his team enough for caring (unequivocally) for us from the outset.
Excellent, attentive service, Ian answered all my questions whenever I asked them. We had our house looking new with better siding and a new paint job within a month. Zero complaints at all, really happy with the results. Absolutely recommended.
We used Ian to repair the dry rot on our current home. He was extremely responsive and his team did a high quality job. We then asked him to look at the siding on our new home and he came the following day! Wouldn't trust our siding work to anyone else.
I chose to contract the team at Elite Home Exteriors NW to replace my siding as they had a fair price and provided a detail guide of materials, process and standards. They exceeded my expectations by finishing work early, were quick to communicate, did a fantastic job of replacing the siding and the team that did the install were friendly and helpful. I would solidly recommend Elite Home Exteriors!
Elite Home Exteriors NW did an outstanding job on re-siding our home. From the initial survey and quote, to scheduling and completing the work, they were extremely transparent, communicative and professional! Very happy with our new siding and paint for our home!
Ian and his team done a fantastic job. We resided our home with new siding and exterior paint. We are very happy of the outcome of their work. They did a great job!
We hired Elite to replace our 90 year old cedar shingle with Hardie siding (10 inch reveal + board/batten). They also replaced our gutters and painted the house. From start to finish, Ian and Nick were a pleasure to deal with. We closely compared their bid to another contractor and decided to go with them even though they were marginally more expensive as they added more value during the sales process to our decision making and it felt like their bid was "more inclusive". The work itself was done to a very high quality and any issues were resolved quickly and fairly. As part of the siding work, we found some significant dry rot in our sill plate and rim joist on one corner. Elite took this repair work on for a very reasonable cost and ensured it didn't impact the overall schedule. Elite were also very flexible when our requirements changed for certain sections during the process and when there was a cost differential it was always very reasonable. I would strongly recommend Elite to anyone, we are delighted with the finished product and have had many positive comments from neighbours and passers-by.
Update: The team went above and beyond. I had additional projects I needed help with on the exterior of my home and the team was right there quickly and throughly helped me accomplish them. Superior service. - Elite Home Exteriors was amazing. Definitely the largest renovation I’ve ever done my to my house and the team took care of me the entire way. They were always responsive and always took the time to answer all my questions. They even completed the project ahead of schedule! All I had to do was sit back and wait. Would defiantly recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW. They went above and beyond!
We hired Elite Home Exteriors to replace the siding on the back of our house with James Hardie Sierra 8" fiber cement as the old T1-11 siding was showing its age. The rest of the T1-11 siding on the house looked good so we opted to leave it in place except for one section where a previous owner had cut through the siding to install a dog door. We had this additional section replaced with matching T1-11 siding. After the siding was installed/replaced we had Elite Home Exteriors paint the house as well. I felt like we were in good hands throughout the entire process. Ian was very helpful guiding us through the process from start to finish and very quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. The crews that worked on the house were great and answered even more questions I had the days the work was being done. The siding looks great. The paint job looks great. These guys know what they are doing.
Ian and Nick did a great job on our bungalow downtown. It was a full siding replacement, roof, and paint job. It was a big job. We got six quotes because we were interested in repairing the original siding under the outer layers. We eventually realized this wasn't feasible because there wasn't any barrier under the original siding - not even paper which does exist on some early 1900s houses. Ian was great at listening to our requirements and just as good at getting his team to implement them. We are very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend them. Simply put, after getting all the quotes it was clear Ian understood what we wanted when he put it in writing. More importantly it was all delivered at the cost that was in the quote. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone.
We worked with Elite Home Exteriors NW for both replacing our roof and refreshing our exterior paint. Ian and all of his crew were incredibly great to work with, staying communicative along the whole process from start to finish and being flexible with their schedules! Additionally, they took extra measures to ensure the outcome of those projects (i.e. pressuring washing the entire house, cleaning up gutters, and fixing/replacing broken siding). Both projects went along without a hitch and our home looks brand new (and AMAZING). Quality products, quality service, but more importantly…quality people who take great pride in the services they provide. I highly recommend them to anyone needing to replace or upgrade their homes. It was a brilliant experience and couldn’t be more thankful for hiring them.
Ian did a great job of managing this project (adding Hardie Shake accents to the front of the house) and was knowledgeable and very responsive to all of my questions. The crew did an excellent job and completed the work on-time. The house looks great!

Elite Home Exteriors NW did a complete residing (Hardi) and painting of my 2-story house. All team members, (company rep, siding and paint) were professional, thorough, and detail oriented. The final result is superb. There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe the excellent job on all fronts these folks did. I would highly recommend this company!
This project was a complete Hardi residing of a two story house with complicated roof lines and many windows. The siding work was completed in November and final paint in March '21 (due to our typical Vancouver WA rainy weather moving in for the season!). The final result is excellent! Both teams, siding and paint, were meticulous and focused on the finer details. They were a pleasure to work with. From initial quotes through to regular updates during the project, communication was responsive and thorough. Ian, co-owner and customer facing rep, was a pleasure to work with and his customer focused attention was exceptional. I highly recommend Elite Home Exteriors NW.
